Dw1100 sidefeeds in 06 sti
Im using cobb to tune btw. But I'm wondering if anyone has tuned the Dw 1100 sidefeeds on pump?
I started the car and it idled very rough. Using these provided values for latency. 7.00 9. 14 16 3.3 2.3. 1.4 1.2 The injector flow sheet says they're 1200s. Using an access tuner value of 2335 for the scaler, I had corrections of -25 and afrs of 11.5. Didn't matter how much I changed either the -25 correction wouldnt change. The wideband would read close to 14 once I dialed back the latency some. Not sure where im going wrong. Hopefully someone has some experience with these injectors and can help. P.s. I've had no trouble dialing in and driving on my pe850s. |

Well I have an update for everyone. I started from scratch as far as scaler and latency. I used the bad noodle tuning guide for the calculation for the correct scaler in Cobb software. I'm currently using a scaler that is the equivilant of 1200.(1202 to be exact) which is the average of all injectors. 1190-1210.
I dug through the Cobb database of fuel injectors spreadsheet for the latency value they used to use since the latency was similar to the old Cobb values. With these values I started the car. It runs a little rough at first but idles decently with the idle set to 850. Afrs are 14.5-15.2 at idle. Went for a drive after coolant temp was over 180 with the corrections reset. Small corrections either way. Similar to before the injectors. Open loop is a slight bit off 11.2 instead of 11 flat I want it to run. Only issue left is that at low load, like 1st or 2nd through a Parking lot it seems to buck a bit. Like the throttle is being pressed a tiny bit and released every second. It also idles with a bit of a lope. The idle doesn't wander too much, but it sounds like it. It Drives well under all other situations. Throttle response is good, tip in could use some work but not too far off. Just idle and low load are issues. Any ideas to aliviate the issues? . Last edited by Jamaal; 10-17-2011 at 05:43 PM. +1 i want to see if these injectors can compete with the bosch top feeds or the same size.

Curious to see if you can get these to run well on pump too.
I have only run E85 through mine, but wouldn't mind having a 93 map. |

Right now on current settings it's +7% at idle b learning is -11% c learning is 1.7%.
Edit: short term bounces between -3 and +5%, it's all over the place though. May have a boost leak. Idle sometimes fluctuates at idle a bit between 900 it's set at and 1200. Sounds like a Dsm with a bad iac. If I'm not lazy I'll boost leak test tomorrow and try some new settings closer to the Dw sheet of latencies for the yellows. We are having the same exact issue with an 06 STi equipped with DW1100 sidefeeds here at Surgeline. Car passes smoke/intake test with flying colors and behavior does not change with new front O2 or MAF sensors. The DW1100's are coming out next to quickly test that the stock injectors eliminate the issue and if so, Injector Dynamics ID1000's, which we have a 100% success rate with, will go in.

I've tuned two sets of these. Used 1.10 @ 14v and scalar of 1200cc (convert it to raw if u want lol)
On pump gas, idle was decent. Wasn't the best. AFR was not consistent compared to the old injectors (dw740) Had to change a few things around hit my target fuel. On e85 however, everything was much better |

Disappointing to hear cobb but I guess I'm glad it's not just my amatur tuning skills.
I've been told by many the id1000s are the way to go. Ill go ahead and leak test and try some new settings in the next few days to see how it works out. Keep y'all updated. Thanks for the info as well nuke. Ive tried .91, 1.00, and 1.05 latencies. So far 1.05 was the best and most consistant setting. E85 is readily available here, so that'll be next after I can get the pump settings proper. Last edited by Jamaal; 11-20-2011 at 05:41 PM. Reason: Added more |

Update, did the boost leak test and found a major leak at my lower intercooler pipe. Realigned and fixed that and found another leak at the maf flange for my blow through tube. It's the Turboxs one that came with the kit.
It's a small leak, but a leak nonetheless. Ill pull it off and get it rewelded or go for a ks tech tube. Idle trims are now less than 1% added in the a range for learning. Although the idle is a bit Lopey still. I'll update everyone once the problem is solved. |

Any light on these issues or are the DW 1100 a waste on pump? I idle around 11.5-11.7 at about 1100 RPM. Mind you this is open loop. I have a blow thru setup as well on my car (05 STi). I haven't had a chance to see what happens at closed loop yet being this is a fresh build and was worried I'd cause damage at idle that rich.

Pm sent. If it's just a cold start mine would dip into the 11-12s at first too. Needed work to my cold start Obiviously. But once closed loop and warmed up all was well.
