I agree, I would love to go for a ride but Monroe is a bit far for me as well.

Do want to head up to Capitol Forest one of these days, if anyone nearby is interested in joining us for a ride. Just got a sweet hitch rack setup on the wagon so we are good to go

It may be a a bit out of your price range, but I picked up an '08 Giant Yukon FX full suspension bike a few weeks back for ~$750. I love it so far. If you can find an '08 still sitting around at a shop around you, you may be able to score an even better deal. (The '09s went up to $850 IIRC). Review of the bike:

All that want to ride this weekend speak up. I would like to go somewhere out of the way a little so my dog can go too.

For $650 you can not get a decent full suspension bike. For that price point, get a hardtail, seriously.

Im interested in freeride and downhilling, so if any kind of trip for that gets put together, let me know

Ok. 10 it is. We could meet in Monroe at the Safeway. It is about 9 miles from there to the trailhead.

Oh wait i thought we were talking about in downtown seattle. Sorry.

I'll have to see about out in Monroe. I think thats less likely since i need to be down in seattle later.

I would be down to ride at some point. Don't feel like heading up to Monroe but I'm round the Lacey/Oly area with Capital Forest and I go up to Sammamish too so Tiger Mountain area.

sorry, I disagree. My 02 Kona Stinky with a couple light mods was 500 bucks off craigslist. my Dirt jumper fork was another 100 bucks. You can do it you just have to be patient.

If you only have that much money your better off buying used. Lots of people buy full suspension bikes, ride them once, and then decide its not for them and sell them cheap.

I'll be riding friday at colonnade if anyone is down to ride. Look for my bike, it has bright yellow handle bars. Be down there about 3pm till about 8pm.

I'd love to go sunday, but I have my ridealong from 10am to 4pm.

I have the weekends off, so friday is my best day to do something without making plans. I've been at school on saturday for the last 15 weeks, so until school is done I'm limited. Not for long though as finals are this week coming up. **** Yeah

anyone have any thoughts on seatposts that have their own mechanism to raise or lower? i'm thinking of the Joplin seatpost. i think it would be nice to not have to get off my bike to raise or lower the seat. are their alternatives anyone knows about? i know there's a cheap alternative (can't remember the name right now) but i can't find it anywhere online.

How bad is it to have a cracked wheel? While putting on a new rear tire I noticed there was a small crack is my wheel...

I was planning on riding the bike until it gets worst.
