Default Subarus on TV Feat. Miss Leong (video)

Update: 11/5/2012 - Final Tree Days! Only $12,000 in pledges remaining to meet our $32,000 goal!

Recently, we announced our newest project, a whole-new TV series focused on Subarus and Rally Sports called Subiesport TV (you may have already seen some of our shorts.) The project involves three of the best video producers working in enthusiast action sports today (and all hard-core Subaru enthusiasts) including Emmy-nominated Chris Miller, Warwick Patterson and the original founder of Subiesport Ryan Douthit. The show will feature many of the things you loved about the original magazine, but now as a full-blow television series with an emphasis on rally, racing and our ongoing love affair with cars -- but without postal delays. (You can read all about it here.)

If you supported our initial launch campaign for Subiesport TV a couple months ago. Your support was, and is, amazing. We raised nearly $6000 in that initial campaign and we couldn't have gotten this far without you. To date, we've shot the epic 4-day journey of Noble Star Rally as they drove across the US to compete in the Olympus Rally in memory of Matthew Noble Marker, who was fatally injured in the 2011 event. But now we need to start scheduling the larger features for the full series, like an world-first BMW 1M vs. Modified BRZ hillclimb battle (just for one example.)

Just like when we started the magazine, folks in the TV world are saying we're crazy. That we can't produce a show all about Subarus starring the enthusiasts themselves. With Speed TV rumored to be going all-sports, in TV-land they think car enthusiasts don't deserve attention anymore. We aim to prove them wrong.

If every person on NASIOC pledged a $1 we'd be pre-funded for our full series... and then some. But, instead of having to hear it once again for a bunch of dudes, We asked Import Model, STI owner and NASIOC member Miss Erica Leong to tell you about what's in store for the series and how you can help with our new Kickstarter campaign.

(Thanks to the NASIOC members that suggested we launch a Kickstarter campaign, btw.)

* A note about how Kickstarter works: Your pledge will only be charged if the campaign is successful and the charge will be applied on November 8th, not before. If the campaign is unsuccessful (as in, it doesn't make or exceed the target $32,000 in the 30 day period) then your card will not be charged. Kickstarter handles all of this automatically.

More on Miss Leong, who helped us out on the Kickstarter video. She'll be appearing in the Miss Washington pageant this weekend (a preliminary for the Miss America Pageant).

I won't say my OT-esque response but it doesn't require a whole lot of imagination.

On the one hand a quick engine shampoo and a run through a touchless carwash would have gone a long way. Hell even just the carwash would have been good.

On the other hand if it were too clean it would have looked fake. its almost guaranteed that very few women are going to go and have the engine bay detailed.

Thanks to everyone for supporting the series! Thanks to Kickstarter's limited pledge window we need to get the word out as quickly as possible, so for those on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and other forums, please share our Kickstarter link so we can move the pledge needle upwards!

Kinda tired of everyone on here sweating girls just because they drive subaru's. She seems cool, but for goodness sakes, it's just a girl homeboys. 90% of the dudes on here have nicer cars than hers. She gets an entire subiesport feature because of boobies? That **** cray.

It's only used on the description in this post, nowhere else. The show is Subiesport TV. But I've modified the post title for clarity.

You should model this show after the VAG show, AWOL ... the guys over at WagenWerks have some stupid good production skills when it comes to automotive videos.
