Lowering spring and sway bar questions
Ive been searching and havent really found definite answer. I'm about to order Tien S-tech springs and front and rear sway bars. I was wondering what sway bars I should use. I've read Whiteline are good but I'm unsure on what mm I should go with? Also is there any other brands I should check out?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but if your truly searched you will change your mind on those springs!
Perhaps the worst springs made for these cars. There is a sticky on it, it's so bad. I think you need to do more research. Take your time on this, do it right. |

Thank you, I didn't look much into the springs because I liked the price.

I always heard that tein springs were very good. Have not use them myself, actually planning on buying them next week. More details on why they are the worst springs??

Basically put, they are too low and too soft. Again go up to the stickies and take a good long look at all the GREAT INFO up there. Right at your fingertips. Last edited by Bikelok; 12-03-2012 at 06:18 PM. |

The S-techs are only designed to make your car look good, they were not made to perform well or be comfortable. There are much better options out there.

Too low, too soft, purely designed for dudes that wanna slam their car and have no concern for anything performance related. Sticky covers it really well. To be fair, there is a deluge of other poorly designed springs out there as well.
If you want, you can drop me a line on here and I'll get ya pointed in the right direction. -Anthony |

Search for lowering springs to see what might do what you are looking for. If you are on a budget look for used. Swift Sport is a well regarded lowering spring for example. Used is great way to save money. |

No, sometimes sedan springs won't sag on a wagon, but more often they will. So don't worry if you only find sedan springs. You can get saggy butt spacers to take care of any sag.
I made my own out of a poly cutting board and a jig saw. It's very easy to do. Go to Turn In Concepts if you want to buy them. They are not that expensive. |

Dropping it
I would strongly consider adding a Whiteline Roll Center kit if you're dropping that much.....it will definately improve the "bump steer" and aid handling.....about $250 - 300 installed.

If you want aesthetic drop Swift Sport springs are fine, and have rates that aren't too detrimental to stock struts, though being an 02 you'd probably want to at least get new oem replacement bits. If you want proper performance oriented springs you need Swift Spec R springs, and again uprated dampers like the ones mentioned above. If it was me I'd opt for RCE wagon springs and one of the above uprated dampers paired with Group N tops. -Anthony |
