Will an AP for a 04 WRX work on a 05 WRX? And if not , is it possible to make it work?

It will work, but it will turn your ECU into an 04.

Whether you want to deal with that issue is beyond me or cobb.

There is an update to go between 04 and 05 model years. You must UNMARRY your AP for the update to work. I can send you the files if you want, PM me.

I bought the 04 and used the update, it works perfectly. It was kind of a pain to find the file. So your lucky jebjkey is being helpful, assuming you buy the 04 ap for ur 05.

same here i bought a used 04 AP and downloaded the reprogrammer frlom cobb and works 100%

why would you do this, wouldn't you just buy an AP for the year car you have, unless it's cheaper?

Because buying a used one is cheaper than buying new. And if an 04 AP can work on an 05 then that gives me more options for used units.

the AP reprogramming is really simply all u have to do is download it, connect it and double click....

Check the thread and find out.

Realize Cobb cant garentee this re-program.

They highly reccomend sending the AP in compared to doing it yourself.

Yes it will, I personally was too excited to send it into cobb and did it myself instead of waiting but yea if u want to be safe send it in.
