Default buy my rims...

I've got a thread up in the wheels and tires classified section, but I wanted the other legacy owners to know about this as well. One set of stock aluminum 2001 outback limited wheels for sale. They have tires on them, but I assume these would be for snow/winter use, so you'd probably want new ones. besides, one has a slow leak. They are $200 for the set.

I'll post pics soon, but wanted to give everyone a heads up. I have no clue how to ship wheels/tires, but I bet someone here can give me some pointers...

just put carboard on the front and back and tape it around and around. That's how I got my enkei/conti wheelset shipped to me via UPS.

What kind of tires are they? The Offroad variety? I may be in the market for some rally beater rims...mmmm rallybeater....

the tires are some sort of bf goodrich touring if I remember (edit: I was wrong, they are goodyear GP-H tires). I'll go look and see the exact model next time I'm out in the garage. They were about $125 a piece from sam's, so if that gives you any clue... One has a slow leak from a nail hole patch that is leaking again. The others are good.

The wheels are nice, and you'd have some good looking rally beaters. How much did it cost to ship those enkei's?

it's usually about $20-30 for a wheel with tire, depending on how far they go. Fedex is cheaper than UPS or USPS by a fair amount and I've had no troubles shipping wheels through them.

well, i'd do fedex then. I have an account with them anyway. I think I get a small discount for having an account. I've had a couple bites for them, but nothing definite. I think everyone's waiting for pics...

let's see if I can get these images to work:

Big files linked:

little files attached:

I didn't wash the wheels for the photos, so all that stuff is just dirt, there are very few scratches...

Too bad I can't wait until christmas money comes in, but I need this cash to get the proper size tires on my new 17's... Otherwise I'd just hold them for you...

these are the tires I am getting with the money from my old wheels. What do you guys think? They seem like good all-around tires, long wear rating, and decent ride quality. Remember too, I'm not looking for track tires or super street "too fast too furious" tires...

should do the trick. I've never heard of anyone complain about them. They are also supposed to be pretty decent in snow.

I've used them for my rallycross tires on my 16"s. I also drove 600 miles NYC to detroit on them . Good tires, no one seems to have anything bad to say about them when I looked; comfy ride, good grip, they do get squirely when you boot them in loose dirt/grass though A little noisier than the ContiExtremes, but nothing the radio can't drown out.

Have you tried selling these and your RE70's on craigslist? You should get a lot more local bites there...

List them on Craigslist for free - I move a lot of stuff on that sight and you do not have to mess with shipping!

I am seriously in love with your wheels. I just cant exactly justify an 8th set of Subaru wheels. If nobody buys them in the next week, get back to me.

yeah, subaru makes some pretty nice wheels. I'd have a couple sets if I could. The wife won't even let me keep my original ones...
