Uh oh, I'd search first, unless of course your flame suit is on, in which case you should be fine.

Drew, I usually let the header vs headers slide on the Subaru end. I mean technically you have 2 heads connected by 2 pieces of pipe, but it is technically 1 pipe. But yes, that is a huge pet peeve of mine, especially on all other 4 cylinder car's I've owned.
OP, you do not NEED a tune, but to maximize the benefit a tune would do wonders. All laid out in Unabomber's Manifesto, which is a all informative sticky located at the top of this section. |

What's your reasoning for getting a header?

Yes, because there's not 2 seperate banks like on the V shaped engines.

And coupes have one door on each side of the car. Do you say that you need to replace the driver side doors? No. Its a single door.
The number of heads you have has nothing to do with header/headers. Don't be an argumentative prick. You're wrong. Admit it. How many pieces is it made of? |

When you replace a cam, you're actually replacing many cams, but one cam shaft. Why is called a pair of pants/boxers/shorts? It's just one piece of clothing. You park on the driveway and drive on the parkway. Drew claims to be a man but has lady-parts. Let it go, man. And to the OP, as mentioned, you don't absolutely NEED a tune, but any changes to your airflow (intake to exhaust) will benefit the most from getting a tune. If you're looking to swap out your header(s) just because... I'd save the money and get a tune along with it. And a downpipe. |

my (wife's)honda has a header because it has a head and the honda crowd was real big on this and i guess it makes sense. The flat motor crowd, including porsche i suppose, shouldnt fuss over this. There is good reason to label it plural, so dont get bent out of shape splitting hairs. (ie twin scroll or not) |
