Default 04 STI 682whp and 529wtq @ 32psi maxed Injectors

Just finished tuning...

Made 682whp & 529wtq @ 32psi with my daily driver 2004 Subaru STI in a Mustang Dyno

Pretty happy with the results, I max'd out the 1200cc injectors 102% duty cycle, so I will be switching to the 1600cc in like 2 weeks to shoot for the 800whp...

Thanks to

Phill @ Element Tuning for overnighting me my Hydra and a great base map...
Twister Racing Engines for the awesome machine shop work...
Turbosmart for the greatest Boost Controller in the Market...
Carbonetics for a great clutch...
Cosworth for the best sets of heads...
Turbo's By Garret *Bill* for a great Turbo...
and specially to Central Florida Turbo for the hard work and awesome tuning...

Setup:

Cosworth Heads and cams
GoldenEagle Sleeved Block
CFT GT4294r Turbo Kit
FullBlown Dual Fuel Pump Hanger twin walbro

I assume you didn't spin this more than 7500 due to maxxing the injectors right? I bet that thing is a rocket ship man.

I wonder if it was anything like the "slight misfire" we've encountered where we were certain the motor let go because of too high Dwell settings?

Watch out if you are on stock axles... It's been our experience that the car won't make it more then about 20' if you try to use anti-lag.

I am surprised that with such a "great" head package the power falls off so hard. Yeah for a 1200rpm powerband.

Oh no, no, no..... motor's down blow because of dwell settings Too much or too little dwell can mean a misfire or in an extreme case a burned out coil pack (but you would have to be wayyyyyy off). This would imply you are saying a misfire = blown motor which is not the case I think I would have blown up a 1000 engines if misfires resulted in blown motors

682 whp on this Mustang would be close to 800hp on many dynos so it really needs every aspect of the tuning to be perfect. That's a lot of cylinder pressure and it may be getting close to oem ignition's limit so tweaking the dwell up or down .2 ms is worth a shot. If that doesn't work I would try a little leaner if the AFR is below 12.0 and then if that doesn't work depending on the EGTs a little more ignition timing may be needed.
