Default Please Help: Looking for an STU car to run @ El Toro ProSolo and San Diego Nat. Tour

ProSolo El Toro (3/28 - 3/29) and San Diego National Tour (3/21 - 3/22).

Any west coast STU'ers out there want to offer me a co-drive at either or both of these events. Your car needs to not fully prepped either. Just looking for something with 245 width tires, stiff springs/coilovers, and lots of negative camber. If you're not sure your car qualifies as STU class PM me and I can help you determine its class. I can offer the following compensation:

-Beer
-Use of my STU WRX STi at some east coast '09 ProSolo or National Tour events
-Monetary compensation

Please post or PM me if you can help. Thanks!

Regards,
Jake

My Car Set Up

I'll give it a try, but I have a feeling STU people check here more than local boards.

STU competitors in So-Cal have dwindled significantly for '09.

Bummer. Too bad. STU is one class that never ceases to have a large turnout of fun, cool, down to earth competitors.

In another post of mine, a member said I should post some of my "qualifications" and some references. Here is what I wrote.

Quote:
I am only really looking to drive and STU prepped STi or Evo since they are the only two proven STU competitive cars. I am sure many people would vouch for me. PM any of the following members for references:

"LightWerkz" - '08 A Class champion NASA/MotorsportsNE and NASIOC vendor
"Evil STI" - '07 STU champion NNJR SCCA, '08 HS champion NNJR SCCA
"Corey" - '07 ProSolo STU champion
"espEVO" - 3rd Place Overall PAX '08 DC ProSolo
"bdi" - Northeast Competitor (STU)
"Buttdyno" - Northeast Competitor (STX) and NASIOC moderator
"KAIBUTSU" - 2nd Place AS '07 ProSolo Finale

Jake - I don't think the local STU people, other than Rick Jung, really know if they will be signing up yet. STU has been dominated by two cars here which has lead to some apathy on the part of the other drivers. You should also post on the solo2 forums, since that is the LA region.

Closer to the time, I'll do all I can to get you a ride - the more in STU the better!

Much appreciated! Hopefully compensation will outweigh apathy. Who is the other dominating SoCal STU driver? I assume, Rick is one.

So does this ^^ mean no more STU for you?

I just check the ProSolo '08 season STU results. Does anybody know Aaron? Is he a NASIOC member? He ran really well this year and also ran El Toro. Maybe he would be interested.

Haha. Right then, that makes sense. So is this STU car still around? What does all that baby-seat commuter-car talk mean? Street driven autox cars is what STU is all about.

For National events I will be, although I will be co-driving someone else's car

This car is a super secret car, just purchased the other day... it's going to be awesome. Rick Jung may as well retire right now
