Default New STi Brembos at Take-Off Prices

We've got REAL Brembo STi brake packages for your WRX. You get exactly the calipers/rotors/pads that the WRX STi comes with, at far less than you'd pay at the dealer. And the front package is ON SALE, so cheap that it's comparable with what I've seen USED packages go for. But these are new!

Okay, I admit, the rotors are not exactly like the OEM ones. The ones we sell come drilled or slotted, as opposed to the plain OEM ones.

What, not a single question about these?

I've got a set in the showroom that seems to be drawn magnetically toward my '05 Legacy GT.

Take your front brakes and put them on the back of your car? That's not going to be work because there's a parking brake assembly on the rear brakes that's integrated with the rear rotor.

Yes. Otherwise you'd have no parking brake.

just curious why the fronts are cheaper than the backs...especially then there is more going on with the fronts since they handle the forward-shift of weight during braking.

How many sets of these you got Dan? Might be up to pick up a front set in a week or two.

Because of the large size/weight/cost, we don't stock tons of these. I only have one set on hand now, and probably won't be stocking much more than that at one time. If you want to get some, place an order for a set so we can set them aside. Otherwise I can't guarantee the set you want is going to be in stock if you just drop by.

Nope!

Get Rota rims (17" for a cheap solution) if you want to run Brembos on the LGT.

I'm not entirely sure what your question means -- the brakes don't have anything to do with the diff, except in a "hip bone connects to the leg bone" sort of way. But yes, these are bolt-on for the 2.0 WRX, and the rears will fit the existing rear parking brake hardware.

i'm sorry, let me rephrase that. what i meant was, i know that take-offs of an '04 STi rear brembo set-up utilize the R180 diff, rear hubs, and axles to bolt up. this is just for the rear set-up. i guess that much has to do with the parking brake and stuff. the calipers/rotors won't bolt up to an '02 WRX rear R160 diff unless you have a conversion kit made by TWR or godspeed. this will however cost an arm and an leg. so i ask the question if this is compatible with the R160 diff set-up?

Yes. This kit is made to bolt DIRECTLY on a US-spec NON-STi WRX. These are NOT take-off parts.

If you're asking if it's possible to adapt the front brakes from your car to go on the back, there's no such kit. You'd need to use a different rear rotor to fit the parking brake assembly, and use a different caliper mounting bracket. Maybe that's a project for some enterprising soul out there...

Dan,

Just to clarify Clamdips question regarding using the parking brake - is the inner diameter of the rear rotor identical to the STi's rear rotor?

Because, if it is, us WRX owners have to buy an extra adapter to match the smaller diameter of the rear parking brake which costs $600. If not, then this rear STi kit you are offering is a good deal. Thanks, Wylie
