Default Quick question on waxing my car

Whenever I wax my car, wax gets into the seams near the different panels. I cant really get it out with a pad or anything. Am I doing something wrong? What should I do to fix this?

I use a credit card library car etc...wrapped in a MF towel dipped in prepsol. I don't like to use brushes as it might scratch the paint

Basically a wax & grease remover, you can buy it at most part stores and even some walmarts...

I also stray away from that type of wax. I started using ICE polish and wax. that stuff is so much easier. More expensive but very nice. Its liquid so no flakes, no residue.

I wouldn't even bother with the prepsol, unless it had hardened so much the MF couldn't take it off by itself.

Q-tip. And you're probably using too much wax. Most people do. What wax are you using? I don't tape off for creases, but I do tape off for plastic molding.

Well I used turtle wax, but I hated that. Any suggestions on good wax that don't leave that much residue.

Agreed. If you take a small fold of a MF towel you should be able to slide it down the crack and get any wax out.

Automotive masking tape between the doors, hood, etc, all seams, and on all the trim. That way you can give your car a full detail (Clay, Polish, Sealant, Wax) without having to worry about damaging the trim and getting residual wax in the seams of your car.
