I like it a lot. One thing that I *REALLY* like- the stereo's are still standard double din! They didn't do some proprietary molded in panel for it. Kudos to subaru for that.

Now that I see the full pics I like it. Still not crazy about the tail lights but the interior is a HUGE step up in design.

The best part....

Refreshingly, curb weight has dropped some 160 pounds compared to the outgoing car despite a 25 percent increase in bending stiffness. Credit goes to the increased use of higher-strength steels in the new body-in-white.

If you consider the grill, spoiler, rear trim, interior hvac controls, etc to be transplants from the STI to the WRX, then yes, just the wheel color changed.

OH WAIT!!! They added a sunroof in 2009 that was not available on any 2008 Impreza!. I knew I'd find something.

Agreed not crazy about the tail lights but they are better than the concept's. Overall I think it's one of the better looking base Impreza's.

HAHA, oh man. He just said they're "adding in" fuel efficiency and STYLE for these new models. A tacit admission that previous subarus LACKED style.

low incentives protect your resale value for when you sell your car and allow for better leases.

So will it get 36mpg in manual form? It'd be stupid if it didn't.

All in all, I would buy it but can't wait to see what they do with the WRX/STi

Notice the non turbos don't show tailpipes anymore, at least on the 5 door one.

Well I guess saying higher resale value is something good to brag about but when I get the 2012 I'm keeping it until it gets well over 100K miles, so resale value isn't going to be that important to me.
