Default Can the Perrin GT turbo kit work with a TMIC?

Just wondering.

Yes and No. Depending on the gas used, how much boost and timing you want to run. Basically when getting your car tuned the bottleneck in your system will be the tmic. You won't be able to run as high as boost and will have to run less timing than you would versus an fmic. But on the other hand you could opt for water/meth injection to counter-act the effects of just having a tmic. If you're sticking with a tmic then I suggest a good one and a big one.

Physically it will fit if thats what your asking. Perrin ran his car with his stock TMIC for a period of time on his 2006 STi until he put the H6 in it.

yeah, I was just wondering because I don't want a regular FMIC. The piping is too long and it gets rid of the bumper beam. I've thought about a v-mount setup or a FMIC directly in front of the radiator like the forced air tech unit, but that will cost at least $1500.

I plan on running on pump gas, and I think if I run a 60-trim turbo I might be able to get away with a TMIC, in which case I'd save nearly $1000. I still don't like the perrin intake because it puts the MAF too close to the turbo and I can't run blowthrough with a TMIC. I could get the Ultimate Performance kit, but then for the rise in cost I could get the custom fmic with the perrin kit anyways.

Decisions decisions.
