Doubt they've been as shocked as my ugly tail lights. I would take a picture and post it but A: it would probably break my camera and B: I would be too embarrased.

Picture this: right side tails are still the painted sexiness that was my cars rear end before some ******* backed into it and didn't even leave a note. The left side is one painted half tail light and it's too dark and looks stupid and one unpainted (hatch light) stock light. Looks horried. I cringe every time I see the back of my car.

Searching google for a good paintshop is about as helpful as asking a hippie what his favorite gun is. So I'm still trying to figure out what I'm going to do to fix them. I tried Guardline but aparently they're too good for my money so **** 'em. The hunt continues.

Belkirk does great work though they are a bit far from the base.

I see a red X but I think that's because my work computer blocks my photobucket. If it doesn't work I'll fix it from home. Either way I want that look back, maybe a little darker for both the red and the smoke but I need a shop that can do it in one day, maybe 2 (if I can find 2 nice days in a row to ride my motorcycle to work) and for a reasonale amount. Was quoted 200.00 at one place so now I'm going to sand down the lights myself and try again.

Appreciate the help regardless.

If you do the prep work and buy the paint. the auto center on post will spray it for $50. At least that's the price they told my friend last year.

How much you think they will charge for a full body paint job? With and without buying the paint first? I've only been on this post since this past November.

I don't know. You need to get the pain. All you are basically doing is paying for labor

Bahahahaha.

The paint isn't expensive but having someone do it for you is.

What specifically are you looking to do?

Very very pricey job to be done correctly. Color matching any kind of satin/matte type paint job will be very costly.

I'm not being skeptical or arguing your validity but 2800 for a color change is less than maaco charges for a color change

Wrap it. There is a wrapped flat black car here at the Renton meet I'll try and snap a pic.

I'm glad I wasn't there! Been through too many of those.

You think about Plastidipping your car? It's pretty cheap to do, and it peels off when you're sick of it..

This is good to know since I decided last night to put my skills from helping around my dads shop when I was younger to good use. One thing I never learned was painting so I'll gladly do the prep work and provide paint if I can find it. Might have to go to a local shop or something to see what I can find. Do you happen to have their number? If not I'm going to make a trip over today or Monday and see what they say.

I'm thinking about heading to the paint shop to talk to them during my lunch. Though it seems a lot of units are off today I try to avoid the PX, gets a little crazy there during lunch time.
