Dear wrxineffect2011,

SOA regrets to inform you that while en-route to your local Subaru Dealership, a 370 lb. Pterodactyl shat on your WRX. This caused the windshield to shatter, irreversible frame damage, and the pungent aroma of digested puppies to engulf your interior and stain your leather trimmed bucket seats. We have resubmitted your order for a 2013 5 Door limited WRX, and your new ETA is November, 2013.

Thank you for being a loyal subaru customer.

This what I imagined happened to my order. It makes the pain of having no ETA easier to stomach.

From what I hear, even if a dealership gets a new STI on the lot, the chances of them letting anyone test drive it are pretty slim. They try and keep them without any miles And, since it's also a magnet for kids who can't afford to buy one they find it easier to tell everyone no. If you put a deposit down for an order though that might be a different story. If you can find a used 2011 that might be the way to go if you need to test drive. There are some, but not many around.

I had looked at a 2011 slightly used STi hatch a few months back, and it was on the showroom floor. I asked to test drive it, and they wanted to sit down and work out a deal pending the test drive before they would let me drive it. They ended up trying to screw me on my trade so it didn't work out.

Pretty sure it's just an interactive brochure. But better than what the Subaru website has.

I drove a brand new 2013 yesterday, granted I'm 43 and my wife works for the dealership. My first time driving an STi and have to say I liked it, great handling and felt pretty powerful to me in stock form. Road noise wasn't too bad either.

My DGM wrx sedan left the factory today and is en route. Eta is still 10/8. 2 weeks seems about right but some sort of high speed delivery miracle would be awesome!

Got email from dealer. My car is at port and on its way to the stealership.
Sent me the vin and window sticker. Pretty exciting stuff.
2013 wrx limited, crystal black silica hatch, short shift, auto dimming mirror.

I have a set of hellas sitting on my kitchen table, and thinking of going with the Perrin exhaust.

I had trouble getting a few dealers to take me seriously as a buyer. Only 1 out of 3 gave me the time of day to even sit down with me let alone let me drive one. Needless to say I went with the dealer that showed me respect. Maybe I shouldn't have shown up in casual clothes in my friends ridiculously loud si?

Funny stuff, man. I need a good laugh. Especially since it's 4pm and not a peep from my dealer.

If anyone is looking for a limited black WRX or base WRB WRX sedan around Cincinnati, OH PM me and I'll get you in touch with a good salesman selling them for $2k below MSRP. He also gave me a pretty good number on my 370z in trade.

This was honestly the easiest car deal I've ever been through and I've been through a bunch (00' Celica GT-S, 03' WRX, 04' STi, 06' Civic Si, 08' Evo X, 10' 370z, 10' Outlander (wife's), 11' Tundra Rock Warrior, and my newest, 13' WRX)

It's good news hearing about people getting their orders early. It's driving me nuts though.

I get angry when I see how expensive premium gas is. And then I long to finally have my WRX to fill up with said anger inducing, expensive gas. I'm gonna become bipolar by the end of this.

I've stopped paying attention to gas prices completely and I couldn't be happier. Premium is only a couple bucks extra per tank anyway. This is the way I look at it: I can't change the price. Most stations have the same price. I have to buy it whether I want to or not. I don't pay attention when a gallon of milk goes up or down $0.25, so why get butthurt when gas goes up? It doesn't change that I still have to pay for it. So, oh well. Less stress!
