Default 2012 S206 Wing

Searched High and dry for this so I decided to open this up to answers:

I am trying to at least find a price or a connect to get my hands on the s206 wing from Japan. I looked on JapanParts and they only have the lip listed.

Curious if anyone has seen one of these wings in the states?

Pic for reference:

Did you email japanparts and see if they can get the rear wing for you? Worth a shot.

Yes, and I just got the update :

"Thank you so much for your mail. I'm sorry but I can NOT get the s206 wing because Subaru Japan does NOT sell it to anybody.

Please let me know by e-mail if you have any further question. Have a good one.

Yours faithfully,
Japanparts.com"

this is one of the parts where you have to provide the vin to soj and prove you own the car.

not uncommon, it is the same way on the older models as well. only way you'll be able to get one is if you find a wrecked car.

Find somebody on a forum with S206 and ask for vin you can get it then. japanparts.com probably can't get it cus they have no vin. They have no issues getting s203,s204, etc stuff.

That being said going to guess that spoiler is 1500-2000 not shipped.

VIN requirement. That's a bummer but Talvai has a good idea. I would have a hard time believing that Subaru would go to the effort of verifying if the VIN you use is actually yours. Although they might. I suspect that part is made to order similar to the other "special" rear wings.

I bet you they will verify it. The S*** cars are in very low production and SOJ probably wants to keep them exclusive. And I understand the idea of using someones VIN from a S206, but how are you going to explain that if they do decide to verify it, that u have a jdm/edm car and want the part shipped to the States

no just say hey heres my vin I ****ed up my spoiler. Say something big and heavy landed on it, snapped. Now you need a new one. Hell if you find somebody vin I bet they would be willing to even say yea yea its mine and then have you pay and have you ship it directly to you.

Another dumb thing Subaru does.
Heck it's still worth a try. Besides it's only a matter of time before eBay starts listing knock off replicas.

I don't think its dumb. Its sucks, yes, but makes having that part that much more exclusive.

Check the international side of the forum. Maybe someone has an s206. See if you could paypal them the money to get the wing and ship it to you.

Might as well believe this wing did not exist...

The S206 wing here was only added to the S206 STis with NBR package. 100 of those were available and paid for before their release.

I would imagine it would be similar to the 350z nismo guys run into, my buddy has one and apparently you have to send in the damaged piece along with providing a vin to get the new piece, all part of keeping those exclusive models, well....exclusive lol

That dry carbon spoiler from japanparts.com looks identical but it has "STI" on the side instead of "S206". I would be more concerned that at 20% off its a $2688.84 part. I prefer not to even think what the S206 would cost if you could actually source one.
