Retrofit kits are not hard. The toughest part is finding a place to ziptie the ballast.

I second the DDM tuning 35w 5000k kit. I was concerned when others spoke of glare, but there is none more than any other light. They add a nice improvement in brightness and color without being overly bright. The car should have come with these IMHO.

I would prefer a whitish white. No color at all. Just pure white light.

Wouldn't using LEDs for DRLs render your high beams pretty much useless?

^^ My response exactly. I would NEVER disable my high beams. If I'm driving at night on a road that doesn't have street lights, then my high beams are on regardless of the weather (unless a car is in front of me or heading my way in the opposite direction). The deer in upstate NY haven't started wearing reflective vests yet, so I like to have as much light as possible.

Looks like I'm going to be focusing on increasing throttle response and trying to boost acceleration.
That being said, anyone know about interchangeability between other subaru's flywheels and clutches and ours. Difference between the manual transmission and automatic. |

I personally feel like the "eye brow" lights should be the DLRs instead of the high beams. Anyone know a way to switch the DLR funtion from the high beams to the eye brow bulbs?
This way you can have LED DRLs and still keep your high beam funtionality. Also, the high beam bulbs will last longer cause they wont be constantly in use when driving. Last edited by jr0bb5; 10-14-2012 at 12:33 PM. |
