Default my new toy

Alright well i finally took the plunge and bought my first subaru. came across it a few times and i knew the car needed some work. Its a 98 RS with the ej22t turbo swap in it. The car has definately had a very difficult life. Been hung out to dry so to speak. Anyway since i have had it the car went from not running right and smoking to running good again. Here are the specs

98 rs
ej22t swap
new headgaskets and timing belt done
Wheel swap
2.5in turbo back exhaust (going 3in next year)
catless up pipe
gt28 turbo
tial wastegate
apexi safc (for now)
aem wideband
FMIC

Plans for it are to keep it relatively mild, STI bumper swap, STI rear spoiler, 3in exhaust, Coilovers (looking at tein) and master bushing kit and bigger rear sway bar, retune on e85. Anyway here are some pics

Got some good plans i think for the car, really getting back into autocrossing and wanting to have a little fun in the dirt so i think this should get my feet wet.

looks like fun, i would love a swapped gc to use as a DD/beater, and keep miles and wear off my STi. i would try to find an rs bumper, as i like the big fogs on them. but either way looks good.

yeah it sucks that the 98 rs's came with this bumper, but what can you do. I plan to swap on the newer rs bumper with the big fogs eventually. Current project is putting on a new larger turbo and getting a GD sti wing mounted on then fiberglass the gaps.

not a fan of the gd wing on it. i think you can find a "big" gc rs wing pretty cheap.

I vote no GD wing. Find a version 5/6.

Well the black wheels are gone. Picked up a set of 99 rs silver 5 spokes. Also picked up a set of jic coilovers. Going to probably paint the wheels and then toss on the suspension
