Woo! I'm pretty excited actually, you really don't get to ride shot-gun with a pro driver every day.

Just added the list of tentative classes to the car show list. Don't miss out as you don't have to be super modified to potentially win.
UPDATE #2: 7/31/07

Here's the basic list of Car Show classes.
These are all TENTATIVE based on participation in the above classes and are subject to change up untill the day of the show (8/11).
  • General Awards:

*Best of Show: The Subaru that stands out amongst them all.
*Best Wild Subaru: The Subaru that's most outlandishly modified.
*Best Mild Subaru: The Subaru that shows you can modify your car and still drive it daily.
*Peoples Choice: The Subaru people in the general public liked most.
*Best use of SPT parts: The Subaru utilizing the most out of the SPT catalog.
*Best Rally Car: The car that best represents the Rally heritage of Subaru. (The dirtier the better?)
*Best JDM: The car that represents something you would see on the streets of Japan.
*STOCK (Subaru That Best representation of an unmodified/stock Subaru, AKA: Still under warranty ).

    Specialized (Model Specific):
*Best Impreza (93-01): Best modified representation of the original Impreza.
*Best Impreza WRX Sedan (02-03), (04-05), (06-07): Best modified representation of those years. (3 classes)
*Best Impreza WRX wagon (02-03), (04-05), (06-07) Best modified representation of those years. (3 classes)
*Best Impreza WRX STI (04-05), (06-07) Best modified representation of those years. (2 classes)
*Best Legacy (Pre-04), Baja, Legacy Wagon (all years/types): Best modified representation of those models and years.
*Best Legacy Sedan (04-08): Best modified representation of those years.
    *Best Forester: Best modified representation.
*Best Classic Subaru (<1993) Best representation.

Once again these are all TENTATIVE based on participation in the above classes and are subject to change up untill the day of the show (8/11).

Be sure to register for the car show!!!

Funny enough I was getting ready to post about the large amount of 9-2x owners participating (the "subaru with a saab front end conversion" line was classic) that we'll adjust the classes accordingly to include an award for the best 9-2x.

Don't miss out as this is your chance to show off your Subaru... Or Saabaru for free and win some great prizes, & drive the '08 WRX (or ride). All this for FREE!

Also if judging goes without a hitch we hope to have things wrapped up by 4pm and we've been informed that there may be extra opprotunities throughout the show to get another drive in the '08 WRX amongst other festivities/prizes.

I'd never be caught driving that ugly piece of ****. Subaru should have rebadged a Ford Focus and saved itself time and money.

Sure it is if you like constant power outages, overaggressive police, hardcore emission laws, the Governator, people like Paris Hilton, and $5.00 a gallon gas.....oh...and that ever existing threat that half the state could fall into the ocean at any time. I know!!! You could take the new Subaru out on 210 and see how well it.......sits in traffic.

Actually I'm just jealous and wish they had an event like this on the east coast.

The east got: humility, hurricane, tornado, down pour rain, snow, 120 degrees heat wave.

No place is perfect

I'm not going to drive 23 miles unless I can actually get a chance to drive the car.

We'd like to have the judging done by 3pm and if things work out well awards by 4pm (though we have to count up peoples choice votes and other things to deliberate). We will try and allow cars to leave early if possible.

Do I need to sign up for the ride/drive if I'm in the show or does that automatically sign me up? Also, will there be any available food at the event or have to bring our own?

The biggest factor that makes me don't want to put my car in the show is the time factor.

Have to be there by 9:30am, can't leave until 5:00pm, that's 7.5 hours. The show is 2 hours drive from my house. That is a very long 11.5 hours, tiring day

Don't get me wrong, just the fact that I am considering doing it, tells you I am very interested.

The earlier we can leave, the more I want to do it.

There's a guy driving out from Utah who I think can only ride in the car and participate in the car show. 23 miles is nothing compared to that and there's going to be plenty of other things going on during the show and event.
