Kind of glad it's not a turbo version...there are enough kits on the market to make things interesting. The bbk and suspension changes are probably going to be a very nice addition.

Yeah but isn't the new Forester a FMIC?

It is TMIC with ducting that runs through the hood

Exactly that is the Forester with the TMIC that has the hoodscoop. The refreshed 2013 does not have a hood scoop. I'm wondering if it is a FMIC now.

That's the 2014 Forrester with louvers that direct air from the grill to tmic.

Ah very interesting. I hadn't seen those pictures before. Very cool (no pun intended) way of channeling a ton of air to the tmic.

The scoop is what gave it character.

I agree. It's also what differentiated it from the 2.5L

I hope they don't do the same for the Legacy at some point.

Just looks to me like a lowered BRZ with the STi trim bits and brakes...and a huge wang. I am waiting to be convinced otherwise.

True, but I think a lot of people (hello CA) would be interested in OEM upgrades for inspection reasons and warranty.

And autox stock class folks would probably love a factory turbo'd BRZ. Not sure if that'd bump it up a class, though. I'm not smart about that stuff.

That's a fancy hood on that fozzy, but I don't think this car has the ability to funnel like that. We don't have an upper grille. There's so much room in the front bumper, I see no reason it wouldn't be FMIC'd when going FI.

Just to be clear I think that photo is a 2013 legacy not the new 2014 to be shown this month @LA

"
The exterior adds some more refinement and the turbo model loses its iconic hood scoop - something some of us are glad to see go. Instead, the turbocharged Forester receives a unique front fascia, seen here in the image above."

Even if the sti isn't turbo I'm still excited to see what it is and how much it costs.
