I got a ticket for having a dirty freaking license plate. I'm furious.

Then my car died while waiting for the officer to finish writing my ticket. He sped up and drove away as I was trying to wave him down. What a prick.

wooooow... but they won't go after people legitimately breaking the law.

the fix for a dirty plate is a flick of the wrist, and it isnt hurting anybody.

The worst part is my plate wasn't even bad. He said he couldn't see the numbers at all, but you easily could from 3 - 4 car lengths. There was just a little salt on it from the dirty roads.

Finally put on the backing plate for the hood scoop, and took off my homemade (very ghetto) one that was just keeping out rain/snow.

Turns out I needed hardware so I drove to the hardware store like this...

....and was forced to install it in the parking lot because it was starting to snow when I got out of the store.

Just took it for a joyride on some twisty gravel roads.

Spent the last three days crawling around underneath trying to fix a problem with the cooling system. Was nice to get out and enjoy the car instead of swearing at it.

Decided not to sell the car so I ordered the correct Dually Leds and re-installed them. I had accidentally ordered spots instead of floods which don't work as well for a fog light fix! I will post pictures of the light output later. I need to re-install the mudflaps next. Ordering exhaust tomorrow.

That color is awesome!

I recently bought a beat up '02 WRX. The dealer of course tried to talk me into a brand new WRX. I was trying to be financially responsible, but man, that color almost convinced me otherwise.

Haha, I was actually after a SWP WRX hatch. I was tracking it at a local dealer when I was living in Florida and when the car arrived and I went to look at it, it was PBP, the SWP was sent to a different location. My wife loves this color and that was that. It is very cool though. I love how it looks dark blue, purple, and black depending on the lighting. I wish I would have just gotten a beater to free up some income but it is nice having a car no one else has farted or picked their nose in lol. Still wish I would have gotten the SWP. I have horrible luck trying to buy white cars.

Yeah, I'd love to have a new one, but its just not the smart thing for me right now. I was driving a '10 Mazdaspeed3 that I bought new. But we recently moved to a house on a steep gravel road in the mountains of Virginia. Need the all wheel drive.

Always wanted a WRX anyway, was just hard to justify the extra money for one when I got the Mazda.

As promised, pictures at last Deleted everything but PS, AC, and ABS - new sheet metal and paint.. all done painstakingly over many, many, many months, a little bit at a time.

I don't feel like I'm done, but I do think this is a good milestone. More pics here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...7#post39076697

Well this week I went from complete stock parts to full exhaust and intake... and other odds & ends. Cobb stage 2 for now until I get a custom map on to the AP. Overall FUN.

You'll probably see me at once of the Mach V meets this next Summer. Hoping to take top engine bay this year but I think I need a few more things to take it over the top. Still figuring that part out

In the same situation! I'm buying parts first, telling the fiancee later because once the baby comes I know that will be harder to get away with lol.

^ Truth.

although after my son was born I spent just as much money on parts the first 6 months of his life, hah. After that not a dime, but now back into it.

Got all my parts to the shop and started stripping everything down for primer, will be slow going to get it painted cause I still have to work when Im there and get customer cars done. An hour here, and hour there and ill be able to get it all stripped, primed, prepped and painted in a few weeks.

Also ordered some more iron x and nano sealant for the massive exterior detail session I plan to do on the car since alot of parts are off for paint, detail the rest so its just as fresh as the newly painted stuff. Looking forward to that day. I would like to have the car ready for Springfest to show it. few months.
