As for the car - the center diff is still flipping out. gotta take a look at that. I suspect I know what's going on there.

The old tune was on an apv1 and AVCS was not touched. The new tune will have avcs tuned.

Other than that nothing else will have changed on the car from the VF37 to the Blouch setup.

Nothing special on the motor for this one. Based on the miles, and how much we'll be pushing into it I wholly expect it to pop sometime. When? Not sure. Won't hurt my feelings when it does happen.

At that point we'll look into doing some trick stuff with the motor.
i'm going to lose sleep waiting for results!

So wait..... was the blouch turbo they used on a 2.5 STi? 10psi at 3500rpms sounds pretty slow to me. At what point did they get full boost?

466whp with E85 on the blouch TS???? I REALLY want to find out more on this. If it spools better than mine right now count me in

I hope you didn't burn out your center diff, if that sucker because purple, prepare to cash out $1k for a rebuild kit

also, can you specify if you are testing this on a 257/207/205 motor?

I believe that's 465.5BHP UK standard and not WHP.

Have a look at the dyno graph:
http://bbs.scoobynet.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=318

Here are all the results of the SC/Blouch billet range:

i must have miss understood. anyhow, i still like that number! those sc/blouch billet turbos fit the jdm uppipe flange?

edit: i see that these turbos are very different from what i imagine a modded vf37 will be like. still waiting anxiously for TiC's results!

Yeah 460bhp is more like 370whp........ which with E85 is not impressive at all. If you're going to go through the trouble of upgrading the VF37 and running E85..... you shouldn't settle for less than 400whp.

As far as know, SC makes both single scroll billet and twin scroll billet versions (to fit JDM spec c / v8-9 TS dp/uppipe/header flanges) of their turbo's. I am not sure if Blouch is involved in the casting of the TS exhaust housing, but in the UK you do not need to supply a VF37 exhaust housing anymore. They cast it them selves and that's good news

On a side note....
I am going to get a Litchfield LM450-S60 for my TS converted v.7 Wrx STi. The turbo makes consistently 450BHP on 99RON pump fuel and spools fast on a AVCS 2.0l. That's enough for me as I am still on a stock bottom end. It is however a bit more expensive than Blouch. Rumors have it Litchfield are working on a billet version You can read about them on bbs.scoobynet.com/forum.php

i agree, i can make 340whp on my vf37 on e85, running 24 psi, thats only ~30whp more on more psi and about 400rpms slower spool, if i upgrade to something else i would like either more power with the same spool, or more than 30whp with slower spool, also i am running a stock 205 at 138k, on a fresh sti 2.0 i would expect faster spool, and maybe a little more power

Yeah on a 207/257 with a vf37/e85 you should be see over 360whp depending on the mods.

im not to worried about power i want mid range and low end, i do alot of city driving and my goal is only 400, if i can get 350-360 i am more than happy, i will be running a ver8 207 with 9:1-9.3:1 i think with the better flowing heads, and the e85 i shouldnt have to worry about knock, i just want drivability

Did TiC go with the Dom 2.5 TS? I'm really anxious to see the results as I'm deciding between the Blouch setup vs the Litchfield turbos.

Quick update -

Got a call from Applied Tuning today. I threw the car at them, and said call when it's done.

They called today. 325 and 325. The injectors were not the limiting factor, but the intake. It started stalling out at 4.65v on the MAF. Even with pushing the boost up, and ignoring the stall it yielded 345 tq, but only 10 more horses.

So.... A new intake is on the way to them that will hopefully not stall out on the upper RPMs.

Now, I know a lot of people are going to poo-poo this, but hold on before you do. I have asked them to post up the plots from today. From what I understand the area under the curve is very nice, and the torque hits and stays there to redline.

We'll then be able to see what happens with the new intake when it arrives.

I don't see why the intake is limiting, why not just do the 400g hack, I run speed density on a 65mm also on my vf37 on e85 making 340/340 consistant on mustang and airboys that's at 26 tapering to 23 no restrictive wall, it really sounds like when I had my vf37 with a 20g wheel, and the compressor wheel overflowed the exhaust wheel. What goes in must come out.

Which intake setup were you running, and what are you replacing it with?

I don't remember. They should chime in soon with plots from today.

That's what Eric felt was limiting it and his recommendation. I do not know about the 400g trick but then I don't tune cars. I leave that up to the guy tuning it.

Since he does this for a living I go with what he recommends. Kind of like when someone comes to us for suspension, which we do all day long, we hope the listen to what we recommend.

I'd like to one day do e85 but just don't have time to get into that project so it will be 93 for this. Since it won't be seeing all out racing I don't feel it needs anything with a higher octane. We already have a car that demands attention for that (which we have been thinking about e85 for).

Curious as to what most of you TS guys are doing for a downpipe. Custom based on a TS flange? This looks like a nice solution after looking at that Ebay TS header a bit more...

Take a look at the shape of the gasket and the shape of the opening on that bellmouth. If it was the right shape I would have already given it a shot.
