Default 5x100 bolt circle

I am struggling to find a bolt circle called out for 5x100 pattern.
Have tried to calculate this based on measurements but I don't trust the results as the geometry doesn't jive.

Is there a credible source for this informaton?

Default bolt circle

The lug pattern as called out 5 x 100 does not represent the circle drawn through all five lugs. It is a measurement from the back side of a line drawn from two adjacent lugs to the center line of the opposite lug.
In theory one could take the centerline distance from the two adjacen lugs, the distance from back side to centerline and calculate the bolt circle. My math isn't working out.

Why do I want this information? Just purchased a set of Volk GR-C wheels and must machine spacers for them...........need the bold circle to determine x, y locations for each hole to machine.

If you're looking to get spacers purely to help with offsets, wouldn't it be easier and more cost effective to just buy some?

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fabbing up stuff yourself, but spacers aren't really that expensive.

If you're set on making some, hold some aluminum plate up to the backside of the wheel and trace the pattern. A makita and some drill bits later you have a spacer.

As far as the math goes, I tried, but my brain shut off 3 hours ago. Sorry.

Well, remember that 5x100 is not a circumference, it's the diameter. The actual circumference would be 314mm. The radius is 50mm. Now, I think 5x100 might actually not be 5x100 and instead be 5x4" which would be 5x101.6mm or a radius of 50.8mm and a circumference of 319.2mm. Not sure on that. 5x114.3 for example is exactly 5x4.5" so It makes me think these things are actually in standard and not metric.

MOSC, the '100' in 5x100 is not the diameter. ZoneMaster references the Tire Rack as proof. However, life would be much simpler if it were......I would be interested to know where s203.22b got his number of 49.42mm

Wheels are the most bizarre combination of metric and standard imaginable with ratios for sidewall and non-standard hub diameters to boot. I think they do it on purpose to keep themselves in business. Too confusing to figure it out on your own so they get to keep their prices up.

MOSC,

Just took your radius of 49.42 and laid it out in CAD showing a pattern of 5x95.26
Does the industry round up? I wouldn't think so given the callout of 5x114.3.........

Sounds like diameter to me!

I don't know where 49.42mm comes from and I don't think it's right. Seems more likely 50mm or 50.8mm. Honestly, 0.8mm is pretty friggin small anyway.

Sometime being thick just creates more work..............
Ran the numbers again last night based on new measurements and shure enough! it is 5 x 100.................
