The garage used to look like this...
...but now it's missing a few things. And it won't be my garage anymore. Moving to a new state, traded the STi, and sold the Falco because I barely rode it this year and figured it's time to try something else. The DRZ is really fun, though. Crazy lean angles, and I'm starting to mix in light off-road duty. Plus, 70 mpg. It's a great commuter/second bike. Just need to get me a first bike, again. KR (Oh, and the sound of the Aprilia, with slip-ons, was epic. I love all bikes, but Italian v-twins do sound just awesome.) |

Currently just an M4 GP exhaust thats painfully loud (not kidding, i wear ear plugs, loud pipes save lives) and an undertail thats been on backorder for over 2 months lol. Would like to get some new bar ends, spools, windscreen....possibly some frame sliders.... we'll see where it takes me lol

A little ot here but .
I will never buy anything but new when it comes to motorcycles . you never know what was done to them , how they were treated and what kind of care they were given . yes there are some good deals on used bikes as of late BUT , I just don't trust them more so the performance bikes IE crotch rockets . |

This is probably true but finding a quality USED engine will put in the same boat that you were already in and a brand new engine will absolutely kill your wallet . unless of course you have the talent to rebuild it your self .

Based on the simple fact that ... more people "know" how to drive a manual car. It's easier to try and push a car to it's limit on the street because you're surrounded by a cage of metal. On the bike... push too hard and... you might cease to exist pretty quickly. Pretty easy to kill the clutch on a MT car if you don't know what you're doing... a bit tougher with the wet clutch on the motorcycle. The engine on a motorcycle is pretty resilient (YMMV), and unless the bike was being raced every weekend, you'll mostly likely be okay. Even if it was a street bike and had a few track days under its belt. The only atrocities I see on used (sport)bikes are usually... a lot of chrome bling and stretched swing arms. FWIW, I think buying a used performance(ish) car is more risk, since for the majority of people it serves as their primary mode of transport (and I know not all, some people "fun cars"). A bike, OTOH, especially in New England, is more of a 'toy' or just fairweather riding. HP |

XR600R for RallyMoto, harescrambles, enduros, and dual sport rides and XR650L for being a retard on the street and riding through yards, parks, pretty much anywhere. |
