Hah, Carl, when I first saw those awhile ago, I said, Man! if he had a passenger, they would have really been f****d! And Craig was like... Morgan... he did have a passenger, they are dead now... It was pretty scary at first, then I realized who I was talking to.

That's by far the worst accident I've seen with so few or little injuries. Do you think if it would have been a hard top it would have been worse? I wonder.

I think i might have been alittle better off if i had been in a hardtop. more structurally (sp?) sound and more metal to crush before it got to me.

the chassie on the convertible is stiffer than the hard top to compensate for the missing roof. if you took a saws-all and took the roof off, then drove it around, the body would be all twisted out of shape.

looks like you hit the tree somewhere near the window pillar and close to the firewall. few inches further up the nose and you probably would have ripped the nose off, few inches back and it would have been more than a few scrapes.

glad you are ok. thats a nasty looking wreck.
