Quick question, I currently have a custom 2.5inch catback with rallisport uel headers and a magnaflow muffler but it isn't loud enough for my tastes anyone know of a good muffler louder than a magnaflow but not loud to a point where I'm deaf. I tried a muffler delete with my setup but it was way to loud i would guess around 100db or louder and there were popping noises at 3k rpms. So a muffler that wouldn't equate to that loud.

I currently have a complete 2.25 exhaust, stock headers one stock cat in the front position, flow master dbx 2.50 straight through round muffler. custom home built power chamber intake, K&N panel filter in stock location, ( I did trim the baffle fins in the stock filter box just a bit to reduce turbulence ). so far the car has seen three set ups. this is by far the best for low end torque smooth idle and moderate exhaust tone. I have experimented with different size custom exhaust tip choke tubes. I have found that they play a huge part in my low end torque and raspy exhaust. to date I have less than 400$ invested in performance mods ( I save a lot of money because I work as an auto tech.

I'm just gonna leave it here, if anyone is interested in how STi muffler sounds on 2007 2.5i. No other mods to exhaust were done.

MY10 X 4EAT rumbles now, no in cabin drone, sounds nice and angry outside, almost quiet as stock while at cruising (you won't hear it with the radio on).

With the factory EL header it will sound awful and drone like crazy on the inside, which it did when I had only the mufflers changed.

If you are tuned, you will need a retune I have lost ~10 degrees of timing advance in the mid range. Car still pulls better than the factory tune however.

It would've been possible to mate up to the stock cat pipe, but it's got a 3 bolt flange and I had a spare 2 bolt from the up pipe so the cat pipe was also cut up, so stock WRX diameters are retained. I value the factory header more than the cat pipe in case I want to revert in the future.

The rear o2 was extended to behind the stock secondary cat.

Not the best job, ideally I would've wanted the header outlet on a downward angle, but I guess the shop wasn't thinking at the time. Although there's not much room to work with while retaining the factory bung too.

modified MY12 WRX headers
modified stock cat pipe
stock mid pipe
Perrin 08-13 WRX axle-back

Pre tune sound/video.

I have a 07 2.5i that already had intake, Uel headers (probably eBay) but sound great, cat back exhaust (3" CNT racing. ). I had it road tuned a while back which helped. Would I gain back some low end torque goin with a smaller diameter exhaust? And if so would I need to get it tuned again to see the benefits of that?

Basically I don't like the 4 inch tip and if I'm goig to change the axle back I might as well change the whole cat back, right? I picked up a cheap sti cat back but I would probably need a new cat for that piece anyway besides that I would need an o2 bung. Any thoughts?

My subaru is 100% stock, I want to put a cat back exhaust on it, but I'm really not sure what kind of exhaust I can put on it. I don't necessarily care about prefoamce, but I do want a nice sound. Any ideas?(or at least a better sound)

What year is your car? I know 08-11 impreza takes any 2.5" wrx exhausts with out or little mod. Example being flage might have to be change on stock mid pipe.

N1 and rallisport v2 UEL headers = pure sex.

1999 subaru impreza outback sport 2.2L
hand fabricated titanium header, aliminum straight pipe and thrush two chamber muffler with borla stainless steel tip. (2.25inch piping)

dyno pulled proven gain: 21hp

price: with installation ($75) $300

likes: cheap, sound agressive as hell. very loud on WOT, but suprisingly no highway drone.

dislikes: when it heats up and you downshift over 2700 it crackles loudly and draws too much attention ( like cops)

1997 Subaru Impreza OBS 2.2 5MT
CAI - Stock air box with K&N panel filter, snorkus delete, flexible hose attached to inlet of airbox leading down to foglight hole in front bumper. $20 on amazon.
Exhaust - Singleport EL headers by Subie4x4 on Ebay 266.75, front Magnaflow(Ebay $85) cat with both o2 sensors attached, rear cat delete, stock resonator (12 in.) and Magnaflow muffler (came with vehicle).
CAI - Engine feels like it breathes easier and has a nice sound at WOT.
Exhaust - The headers were a huge improvement, Magnaflow cat was installed at the same time. Sound is really good, but a touch raspy. Slight droning on the freeway. Deep tone when idling, and a nice burbling sound when cruising down hill off throttle. Have been thinking that I may want to put a longer resonator in place of the short one, as I heard that will help with the raspy sound. No dyno except for butt. Is a definite improvement I can feel! With other mods it pulls hard up to redline, which is higher cause Im running a 2.5 ecu. With all the other mods Im guessing that Im up to around 160hp.

FRAUD ALERT:
Rallisport Racing products@ rallisportracing.com is a huge gamble
One guy operation ( Mike Weaver) says 2months for your product ( which outside PayPal 45day dispute period)
It's really like 7+ months if you ever get it

I'm at 7 + months and haven't heard anything from this guy no communication, no parts, and no refund

Website now says 2 months wait. When I ordered he told me 4-6 weeks it's been 7+ months my experience is not unique

02' Impreza OBS 5-speed
Intake: Stock Box, Fram drop in filter.
Exhaust: Basically a stock system, except with a generic " fart can" attached to the end.

Moral of the story, performance wise, get a legit Exhaust, for fun like mine is, a fart can will do! sounds great, even though it has 2 or 3 cats, and a resonator!

I got a 2015 Impreza coming in a few weeks. I've been looking at some exhaust but don't know what sounds best. Everyone said good things about rallisport racing guy but it looks like he's been MIA lately and not responding. I wouldn't want to risk it. Any suggestions on a set up?

I'm looking for that deep burble sound.

I'm sure someones asked this question before, but I'm still new. Does anyone know if these headers are worth the buy? I'm sure they're going to need some fabrication but I'm not gonna buy them if they're going to fall apart right after I get them. Lol

Don't get those if you're NA, they are for a turbo model.
