I should snap a pic of mine. It rubs over hard bumps and sharpish turns. I have to drive more like a truck (read: sane person) now.

Looks alright. What size were those again? Think a 27.5"x9.5 is doable?

Upon further inspection on the other side after Chano pointed it out, it definitely is touching when turned in slightly.

225/55-17
I believe the diameter at full tread is 26.9", so you may have to modify your Fender liner. I'm guessing that's a wider tire though and you'll be lifted, so it sounds like a guinea pig situation.

According to interco tire company and a tire sizing calculator my swampers are only .5" bigger in diameter and only .5" wider than the stock Dunlop tires that come with the wrx. I will be on about 2" of lift total and hopefully if the tires fit I'll get another inch or so. If I have to take the dremel to the fender liner and make a few small cuts to prevent rubbing than so be it

I kniw I'm a soob noob but I wish I wasn't driving out in january. I would offer a straight trade for suspension setup. I'm assuming since yours fits mine that mine would fit yours with some added room of course

The OEM WRX Dunlops are 25.4", so if yours are 27.5 that's over 2 inches larger diameter...

Yep so essentially just 1" extended out in any direction (radius). From what I can see it shouldn't cause too much trouble if there'll be an extra 2" in suspension and stiffer springs. Only place I could see rubbing is on the bottoms of the fenders, and possible when fully turned to one side or another. Honestly the only way I'll probably find out I by pulling the trigger and giving it a shot. I'll see what some shops around here think, and hopefully they won't give me too much crap about it haha

Nice. It's strange to see things painted or coated, that are usually bare plastic or aluminum. That's gonna look good.

Thanks, hopefully after I get the stuff back from chroming I can put it back together one last time. By then I should have the engine bay and trunk finished and painted so I can work on the brake lines, then after all that's said and done I'll be able to start on the exterior.

I've been lazy... Weekend before last I finally swapped out the summer tread for some winter goodness. Went ahead and changed the oil, checked my brakes (still a 1/16th left on the passenger pads...) replaced my cracked fog light, and installed the Grimmspeed heat shield I've had laying around for almost a year. Maybe if I'm not too lazy, I'll snap a picture of the winter setup.
