Default Blitz BOV and Blitz intake causing a weird noise..

i have a Blitz BOV and Blitz Intake in my car. When i floor the car it makes the whoosh noise which is normal because of the BOV, but since i got my intake if i don't give the car that much gas and shift gears, it would make a weird noise. some one explained to me that the noise is coming from the wesgate. It sounds like something bounces and hits somewhere(i don't know). does any one know how this works and if threre is anyway to get rid of the noise. thanx

the whoosh noise when you floor the car is not the blowoff valve,it is the intake.the 'bouncing' noise is a characteristic of some blowoff valves opening and closing.you wont hear the bov until you release the throttle, which is why you hear it when changing gears

Indeed. Probably the intake. Blow off valve only releases to the atmosphere when the accelorator is depressed.

I think it's the Dual Drive system of the BOV. It does it if there is not enought pressure built, sometimes it does that flutter sound and a pssst at the end... by the way do you get a CEL on your intake?

I never got any CEL's with my bov, but will never put it back on again. The car runs so much better with the stock bov, i suggest you put it back on and find out for yourself how pointless aftermarket is. Sure i miss the sound, but will never replace the stock BOV unless necessary.

The reason it will run better with your stock BOV is that your stock bov recirculates air, and a bov just dumps it to atmosphere. Without the recirculation, the computer will make the car go rich for a second when you let off the accelerator. This will cause a stumble or a tiny backfire.
