Default BRZ Build and price is up and running.

Not sure if any one has seen this yet but you can build your BRZ now. What do you guys thing about the new Galaxy blue color? I do like the rear diffuser option.

It would be nice if you could just build cars and have them delivered without messing with the dealership.

You know, deep down inside, there is a part of you that loves it.

We have 2 spots left for the 2012 allocation. MSRP.

Shipping is $25 more on the BRZ.

MSRP is a bargain on these. Limited supply + big demand = over MSRP in most cases.

Saw exactly this during spring/summer of 2003

$785 it says, and if you go to build the wrx it says the same thing for destination and delivery

I just don't get it.

A 148 hp and 145 lb-ft RWD non-turbo? For a few grand more I could get a 400 hp Mustang GT that would eat this thing for breakfast.

Now if the BRZ was turbocharged and AWD, then I'd think about it.

The 2.0L 2013 BRZ...what car did you think I was talking about?

IMO the new BRZ has fail written all over it...in its current configuration. Kind of like the re-launching of the Mazda RX-8 with no turbo.

My bad...I confused the FA engine with the FB.

"Despite a displacement difference of just 3 cc, the naturally aspirated FA and FB fours have dramatically different outputs. The B’s 148 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque (as installed in the Impreza) lag 52 and 6 behind the A’s 200 and 151—Subaru’s stated output—while the A’s 7400-rpm redline is 800 higher."

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...t-drive-review

The Mazda RX-8 had more hp, but still failed to generate a lot of sales.

Something tells me the BRZ/FRS aren't going to have the same sales woes the RX8 had. Especially if Subaru and Toyota eventually sell higher output versions.

Agreed. The BRZ/FRS should sell ALOT better. The low gas mileage and high maintenance of the RX-8 kill it for a daily driver.

To WRXLTD, this car wasn't built for power, it was built to be fun to drive. If you don't like that, buy a mustang, genesis, camaro etc. Guaranteed they aren't as fun to drive though

You could probably get a leftover base '12 GT for the same price as one of these right now, not including markup.

I hope it's a fun car to drive to make up for getting rolled out of stop lights by V6 Camries and F150s.

My RX-8 was the slowest car I've owned, but to this day, was the most fun I've ever had behind a wheel. That's what the BRZ is after. I guarantee it will be a blast to drive, and you can do so to its limits. That's under appreciated.

+1

people who clamor for AWD and turbo really don't understand the benefits of balance, handling, and throttle response.

coming from owning a laggy turbo bugeye for 7 years, and I'm ready to move on to something that has good throttle response and real handling dynamics- not a 4 door economy car with a turbo on it.
