Default Borla hush exhaust installed!

Finally got the exhaust I have been wanting for a year! I can hear the engine again and the slightly increased back pressure has imporoved the spool without killing the top end. Anyone who is sick of loud exhausts but needs the flow I highly recommend this system!! Its still nice and aggressive sounding under throttle and zero drone at highway speeds.Interestingly enough I got pulled over (first time in this car) and APD gave me a real rough time about the original exhaust on Friday. The conversation was somthing like..."Do you know your tint is illegal?", " Do you know your exhaust is illegal?","Do you know your tags are expired?","Do you know you were going a little fast?"...My response was "Yes, and FYI I have a loaded weapon in the glove box". The cop was sitll pretty cool though she basically gave me fix it tickets. Glad I got this new exhaust, I jut didn't need that sort of attention..lol

Wow already pulled over...man. I Got a ticket for careless driving last night because there was supposed street racing going on..I did see a black EVO flying down the highway as i jumped on just before my car caught on fire. Im taking it to court cus i wasnt clocked and nor did they get plates of any kind. I don't believe you can get a ticket to stick off of speculation from hear say.

Sounds like a "Not Guilty" plea to me. If they cited you based on testimony, ask for the witness to provide their statement in court.

They can write a citation if they did not witness the act, except that the witness has to sign the citation; a citizens arrest if you will.

When you get your court date in the mail, about 3 weeks prior, get it rescheduled. You wave your rights to a speedy trial however it is more likely that the officer won't show and the case will be dropped.

Thats what Im going for. He said the witnesses have to go to court too for the ticket to stick. But If the witness didnt stop to talk to a cop and there was no plate taken down or car description, a "black car" is not going to stick because that EVO flew down the highway Just as I was coming down the on ramp and they said it was me.

The cop said the reports were that they said they were going 75 n the car flew by like they were standing still. Last I checked the speed limit down Glenn is 65. Hmm think that means that person was speeding.

I'm not picking up someone else's ticket.

http://www.muni.org/Departments/poli.../mufflers.aspx

Found this while i was looking to file a police report.

"How do I know if my mufflers are legal on my vehicle?
The easiest way to determine if you are operating with legal mufflers is to make sure they are no louder than those it was originally equipped with from the factory. All others are illegal, even though it is legal for vendors to sell them to you."

Seriously?

Holy crap that sucks. I would call APD and ask them what they think. what I heard was the older the car the louder it could be. Makes you wonder why motorcycles get away with VERY loud pipes.

For anyone that was following the other thread I followed up with some more thoughts and research. I'm not gonna double post here for now.

I think exhaust tickets are the weakest of all. Especially if it's no louder than a stock Dodge truck, the newest hot rod, or the stock exhaust on a harley. I'd like to counter sue the force for wasting my time and loss of income.

LOL I got my exhaust ticket thrown out because I brought to the attention to the judge that there was no testing device to test just how loud my exhaust was.

It has to be louder than 85dB, btw.

Oh and NWA said it best.
