Gains from catback at stage 2?
Hey guys, I am wondering if/what the gains would be from a catback exhaust on my "stage 2" 2005 Wrx.
Right now my 05 Wrx has Cobb Sf intake/box/post maf, Perrin turbo inlet, Samco Ic hoses, Cobb catless up pipe, Cobb catted down pipe, Oem STI catback and Cobb AP stage 2 map. I love how my Wrx sounds, its deep, rumbles, sounds awesome wot and quite the rest of the time. But, I also enjoy the way these cars sound with some aftermarket exhausts, just some are too loud. I am curious about how much power I could possibly gain from an aftermarket catback (on top of the current mods listed above). If its like 7hp or something I will save my $ and keep enjoying my up/dp/Sti catback. If the Sti catback is restricting like 15+ hp/ftlbs I most likely will spend the money and put up with the extra sound (not that its a bad thing).

Just noise. To some though, it is music to their ears.

Didnt see anything regarding Stage 2 with DP and stock catback and gains from adding a catback to the up/dp. Are the SPT and Sti Genome catbacks 3"? Or 2.5" like my stock Sti catback? |
