Currently it's "shipped rail". Schedule date (not sure what that is) of 11/20 and ETA 12/5. If it comes without them, I won't be upset.

Ordered 10/5, and got VON a couple days later, so i'm at 7+ weeks. I just called SOA, and he said that there is no update in the system, only that the order was accepted. He couldn't see if it's been built yet, and there is no VIN or ETA. Arrrgh. I just want an ETA so i can plan accordingly.

Same thing is happening with me, both with the VON change on my pipeline screen capture emails and with the port-installed options. I noticed reading your back posts we also share the same dealer, Subaru of Loveland. They fronted me a free 2013 Impreza loaner to drive until my car comes in (about a month ago), so I doubt they're doing anything fishy. For recap, I ordered on 8/20 and was updated with VIN and ETA of 12/26 on 11/21.

OK. Dumb me. I didn't pay attention that you said the VON actually changed. That is interesting to me. Not sure if SOA would cancel an order and make the dealer put in a new one or what. I have never seen an order get canceled without a request from the dealer. Also, I have not heard of a VON just "changing" numbers. And there are 2 of you that it happened to. At the same dealer. Hmmm.....

With the "shipped rail" status. Yeah.....that is too late to do anything.

Seems odd, because I ordered mine after you, had my VIN at 5 weeks (this week) and even an ETA. I too ordered from the largest dealer in the state.
My salesman has been emailing me every Monday. He confirmed it is their allocation. He said he was hoping I would get pushed into December allocation with all his august and september orders but unfortunately it didn't happen. He said I am the first in line for January allocation so that should be when I get my car. Well since it's coming later than what he originally promised me I'm going to try to do some more haggle with him when I go pick up the car

wow kyletakahero thank for posting that pipeline sheet. My allocation is 201301 so I think my salesman is right about me getting the car in January.

From what the owner told me around the beginning of November, (and I am paraphrasing liberally, as I don't recall the conversation very well), three orders were placed around the same time as mine (8/20) for WRX's (I am assuming wrx12tt's was one of them), around the same time SoA changed their allocation protocol or something like that, so basically for dealerships like Subaru of Loveland that didn't sell a lot of WRX's in the past, they were having a tough time getting SoA to give them the WRX's they had already sold/ordered. It sounded to me like Subaru of Loveland was talking to everyone up the chain they could and not really getting any answers about the cars, and from what I understood they gave at least one other free loaner out (what sounded like much earlier than the one they gave me).

When I spoke with my dealer he assured me if the car arrived with no options installed they would install whatever I wanted at the dealership (and I would be free to add or subtract options at that time as well). It was also mentioned to me they were trying to get SoA to comp something for the delay, although I have no idea if that will result in anything or not.

All of you that are getting your cars make me so jealous. I've been trying to get a decent price around here for about a month now. Still no luck

What did you order?
I feel you on the jealousy thing. I've gotten really impatient this last week knowing the car is so close to being here.

I haven't even gotten to order yet because no dealerships around me want to bargain, and I can't afford MSRP yet haha. SWP 5dr STI will be ordered sometime in the next month though!

Why do a haaaatch? I'm leaving a 2012 wrx hatch in swp. This time around I'm stoked to have my sedan. I never used the utility of my hatch, which was the main reason I got it. Plus there are sooooooo many hatches where I live. Not to mention they have had their time to shine since 08.

Fight for your price. Don't let them dick you around.

Good call. I loved the way the hatches look, especially when done up right.

What is the deal with asking for no tire shine? Is that still an issue?

Not sure if its "still" an issue....but you have to ask yourself, is it worth risking?

I don't know about you but I'd rather not have my new $35k+ car paint finish stained before I even drive it. Serious concern or not...better to play safe.

Once I have the car I can test out a few of my own trusted brands. Not to mention it will give me a chance to be sure the paint is properly protected and detailed before it gets slung with tire grease.

Yeah, I'm probably one of those orders. I was told I was the first order at the dealership, I ordered on opening week.

But thanks for the info! It's good to know. I never thought anything fishy was going on, I just thought the whole VON change thing was interesting. That's awesome that they gave you a free loaner!

Whether you prefer a hatch or sedan is obviously a matter of opinion. It's essentially the same car with the same engine in both so there's no real "better" body, besides ones opinion.

I have a hatch currently, and like kyle, I really haven't used the trunk that much. Excited to change things up and drive the sedan. And if I really need to fit a lot of stuff in the car, I believe the back seats in the sedan fold down which should be plenty for my needs.

Get here already!!
