You'll probably get it by your original ETA if not 1-2 days earlier. They usually bum it down just to be sure they''ll make it down in time. I also wanted the overlay but after looking at the actual car the OEM tail lights look really good with WRB so I'm leaving them like that. What exhaust did you get? I got the SPT CBE and I love them.

I know the holes aren't visible but I just feel guilty drilling into a $30k car lol.

Picked it up with 10 miles, came in with 8. My salesman drove it 2 miles to fill the tank before I picked it up.

It was 11 degrees when I drove her off the lot, those heated seats are magical.

God you are making my wait so much harder. Practically got the same car except the fact that I just ordered it this past Monday. I hate you.

Hey man. We are the veterans of this thread. A lot of us ordered in 09 or 10 and we are finally getting out cars. You guys are the next generation... Brings a tear to my eye!

I ordered the 13th and I was told 6 -12 weeks. However, I'm fully prepaired for a longer wait. My sales guy said he thinks it will be closer to 8 since they are one of the bigger dealers in my area. Not getting my hopes up though.

The SPT exhaust was more than enough for me haha. I just want a louder rumble but also want to be able to listen to some music. Plus I have a hatch back so I didn't want to have to deal with drones from other exhaust.

I was wondering the same thing. I ordered Dec. 31 so my dealer suspects April. Earlier would be nice though.

This coming Saturday makes 8 weeks and I still don't have a VIN yet.

Like others have said, I ordered mine on December 23rd and my dealer told me April. The next week I called Subaru directly to make sure that everything was in order and they gave me the same April timeframe.

What do explosive devices have to do with your car arriving?

Yep, another OG war-weary veteran here. My story is similar to what some others have encountered regarding the dealership allocation rule change and the associated problems. Apparently status was in a hold state for couple of months. I'm going to spare the details because waiting for this order has caused me PTSD and I do not want to relive the agony all over again.

Salesman (he captured this little sad pic of it all alone on the truck) called this evening telling me he's looking out at my car that has FINALLY arrived at the dealership. Going to pick her up tomorrow. Almost gave up and bought a 2013 Audi A4 Premium Plus instead but glad patience persevered and that I stuck with Subie. This is gonna be my 3rd WRX. Still bleeding blue since 2002. Summary of timeline.

2013 ISM WRX Limited (5 door)
Option: Navigation System
Accessories: STI short throw shifter, AD mirror w/ Homelink, 10" powered sub, center armrest extension, interior illumination kit - red, body side molding, bumper cover, rear gate cargo net.

Ordered: 08/10/12 (Baldwin Motors. Covington, LA)
VON: (assuming same date of the order as I watched as input into system)
Allocation: 201211
VIN#: (gave up checking on status, so not sure when)
1st ETA: November-2012
2nd ETA: December-2012
3rd ETA: 01/07/13
Schedule date: 12/17/12
Release date: 12/19/12
Truck ship date: (not sure)
Delivery date: 01/03/13
To pick up: 01/04/13

14 for me. ETA is 1/18 but my schedule date is 1/7, so maybe I'll get lucky and get it a week early. Not sure how long it takes to leave the port, but have seen it just be a couple of days for other people. It's only about 8 hours by truck from Richmond to the OC so keeping my fingers crossed that it comes in a week early. Hard to imagine it takes 11 days to get from the port to the dealer but we'll see. I'll call on Tuesday for an update.

I can't leave this thread...its become habbit to check it every morning when I get to work.

Here are some more pics to make you all hate me.

Drove a few miles around town to get "the feel" for how light the clutch is. I can't get over how quite the cabin is compared to my old 04, and it rides alot better... of course. Did I mention the heated seats?, they are amazing.

Took me a bit of time to get the seat adjusted right, the telescopic wheel is great!

Its cold as crap here and hasn't rained since we had our last snow storm so theres road salt everywhere....just everywhere. So, I'm thinking I should go wash it today durring my lunch break, only just to have it covered again in salt later today, but idk what else to do! Suggestions?

Theres no rain in sight and its only going to get a little warmer over the next few days. All the corrosion causing salt on my brand new car is really bumming me out. It only has 110 miles...I guess its not all bad.

You sure your car is at the port? That seems like way too long... maybe your dealer is pulling a fast one like how they pulled on DS.
