Last I heard the Star Specs run about an entire size wider.. and I think I've seen a few people on +44 or +45 and 245's that rub a bit in the rear.

Plus you have how much the tolerances vary on these cars...

Nice cars! Red & Gold looks good, and I like the gravels too.

What size are those XXRs Str8cypherm80? I'm normally not a fan, but it looks pretty good.

There aren't very many red WRXs. Red with Gold rims is a great combo.
Those nice gold rims are 2004 BBS STIs.

Its actually pretty difficult to find these wheels, i got mine for $920 with like new tires. Usually people want a lot for them as they are really rare in good shape. i saw a set of silvers on ebay for 650 starting price

Thanks i was surprised as well, honestly i was looking for silver bbs but this deal came across i could not pass. As to the grill i was also a little disappointed when dealer found a red hatch for me and this thing was from factory instead of the stock one. Now got use to it so not sure if i am going to change it.

I found this here:
http://www.subaru.com/subaru-perform...nce-parts.html
J1010FG040Chrome Sport Grille - JDM Look'08-'10 All$345.00
It's more expensive than the mesh sport grille most guys like.
It's a mater of personal taste, so maybe you could ask if anyone wants to swap?
IMHO, Gold BBS looks better on your car than silver. Class.

Anyone running this set up:
18x8.5 +45
245/35/18

Suspension: Coilovers

I purchased this set up for my 09 WRX sedan and havent installed the coilovers or rims yet, waiting till next spring. Im thinking i just need to roll the rears.

Anyone running a similar set up?

Thanks Fellas

Some very quick half-assed shots. I'm going to play with the tire pressure a little today because it looks under-inflated. 18x8.5 +44 on 225/40/18 right now, going to switch to 235/40/18 when these are done. Also, i have ZERO photography skills and an entry level camera

What is your suspension setup? Any rolled fenders ? Or is it bone stock w/ just the wheels? I'm thinking of the same setup w/ the 235/40/18 tires!

I am on Epic Engineering lowering springs and stock shocks/struts. The fenders are not rolled. I will be switching to either 235/40/18 tires or 245/35/18 tires next. There's a slight stretch with a 225 tire on 8.5" wheels. The car doesn't look as low in these pictures as it does now and in person. Those pictures were taken the day the springs were installed so I guess they settled a little.

Here are my other pictures; they're old as well:

Car looks good. do your 225s stretch at all on your 18x7.5 rim? I have 18x7.5 w/ falken 225/40 and there's a little stretch. Not sure if Falkens run narrow or if sumitumo run wide....

I had BFGoodrich 225s on 8" wheels and there was zero stretch; tire was perfectly flush with the wheel so it definitely depends on the tire.

good info... so my falkens on your 8" would be a bigger stretch...
