Go wingless, paint the calipers black. Oh, and anyone who sees under the hood and knows what a turbo is will automatically see you're huge black snail. I think you are mistaking "murdered-out" look for sleeper. Anyone who's not a complete fool will know whats up! Keep up that great work though!

you should consider a custom shifter boot to cover up the reverse lockout and a piston knob. six speed is a dead giveaway

how do you figure you will be able to rev to 9k? i was personally going to try a de-stroke/bore/sleeve combo to try to get to higher rpm's safely and either maintain or increase displacement (2.7 liter at the very most). i didnt notice that you mentioned anything about the stroke of your engine which is why im asking.

by the way im not sitting here trying to be a naysayer, if your bottom end can withstand 9k "all day" then i will ditch my idea. let me know.

oh yeah, if you havent already bought the stoptech stage 2 kit..... dont. i bought the kit for my 03 wrx and didnt notice any difference at all. the pads are extremely dusty, the rotors looked good (i went with slotted), lines and fluid didnt seem to help. ive heard good things about the big brake kit though, so i guess just save your money on brakes until then, or go a different route for now....

Not sure if he said that since he knew what my stroke was or not and he knew I want to sleeve the block.

I haven't bought the Stoptech kit yet. Would you recommend I piece together a setup from select rotors and pads and avoid the kit all together?
well i cant really lead you in another direction from my own personal experience, but i can offer you advice from reviews i have heard. any "name brand" rotors, and hawk pads or something along those lines would be good. if you have the money to shell out, id go with dba rotors or something along those lines. project mu looks good and are run on a lot of high quality cars, but they arent cheap at all. if you are trying to stick within the same price range as the stoptech stg 2, just get some powerslot rotors or something like that, and hawk hps if youre running on the street only, and some better fluid.

as far as going to 9k, the heads may be able to take it, but like i said i dont know for sure but i dont know that the block will handle it. seems like you are putting a lot of money into the build, i would ask the shop if the bottom end will hold together at 9k if it is taken there constantly.

I'm kinda curious why you're trying to make it look like a WRX. Why not just debadge and keep all your mods inconspicuous? If you keep the engine bay low key, debadge, paint the brembos black you would have a sick looking car that only a Subaru enthusiast would notice.

I like the low key inconspicuous look since it doesn’t attract too much attention. When I had the STi Wing and badges, at almost every light I would get someone wanting to race me, everything from Chargers, Porches, Hondas, etc. It got old real fast. With the low key look I only got attention from Subaru fanatics and a lot of people from NASIOC, which I am happy with that.
I can definitely understand wanting to keep it low key, especially if you're going for crazy power in CA. Where in Sac do you live? I haven't seen your car around.
