It does cover the release lever. I don't mind; my thought is that hopefully it will prevent or lessen the amount of dirt that will collect down there. I've always hated trying to vacuum that area out. It doesn't hinder getting to the lever all that much either. Just lift that area of the liner up and lift the lever, I push the liner down afterwards just to make sure it's seated properly.

When I get mine Ill post my pics of them too. I agree that vacuuming that area does really stink. I was originally just going to cut out a hole for them but I like the idea that it can keep that area dirt free.

The idea is growing on me, and the price is right. I just wish i could order only the front

Waiting for my WeatherTech mats to arrive in the mail, I guess I am biased but I think the material for the WeatherTech mats is better (the Husky mats seem kind of flimsy). I wonder if Husky mats or WeatherTech mats have better coverage?

my dog threw up a couple times on the oem seatback protector. it worked great.

she hasn't tried out the weathertechs yet, but seems to prefer her mexican blanket. or maybe i prefer it.

as long as we're talking about the back of the hatch- somewhere I read that if you put your spare tire cover in the raised position your security screen stows nicely under it. low and behold it works great and was designed to fit there perfectly. damn secret engineer car tricks!

Have you seen the material on each of them in person to compare, or are you basing this on pictures. I'm trying the Huskies out. I just hope they're not slippery like the OEM all weather mats when wet.

Picked up my mesh grille today, and decided to take it apart. With or without badge?

My vote, the original grill looks better, but do what you think looks best.

Badge is my vote. IMO it looks weird without one, since all cars have an emblem on the front.

Put a FORD badge on it (Think Explorer) and freak everyone out.

Keep the badge. There's black plastic behind it and it would only look good naked IMO if that black pillar in the middle was removed.

I think a Pontiac badge would look better as it now looks like a Pontiac grill

Lmao-
Thanks! I will order one of these grilles JUST for removal of the badge!
I've been really considering de-badging the rear, and the front would look cool too. All that would leave is the center caps of the wheels.

Just basing it on pictures, I did google around quite a bit. I guess when we get our respective mats we should have a better idea.

No, to do that you need an STI badge and wing on your car. Then everyone will freak out...

I received my Weathertech liners Friday. I had the Husky liners in my Truck. They both fit well, but I really think I like the Weathertech material better.

The Husky liner material felt more like hard plastic, whereas these Weathertech feel as they have a light rubbery feel to them.

Hope that helps...

Thanks! This post makes me feel good about my WeatherTech purchase, so the extra money was worth it.

For those of you wondering, the Weathertech Liners do "not" cover or interfere with your Gas latch. They are perfectly designed (formed) around it. In addition, the mat hooks line up perfectly...

Quick question (and probably a dumb one): I did the easy, low RPM break-in of my car for the first 1500 miles or so, and I was wondering if resetting the ECU would be of benefit to help improve performance a little bit. My theory is that the car learned this easy driving style and is now tuned to it. Resetting it, I can re-learn it to a more aggressive "tune".

Has anyone else experienced anything with this?
