Default Dog toys that will last more than 6minutes?

Dog folks i'm asking you, what indestructable toys have you found for your pooch. my dog destroys every toy we get her. i kinda feel bad she has nothing to PWN while she's home alone. so far the only thing that has seemed to almost last was an old sock of mine we gave her and a ball hat's too big for her to swallow yet to small for her o get a good hold on to rip to shreds. she gnaws through everything, hooves last about a week too...............she recently ate her bed. thankfully, she doesnt destroy what isn't hers...

Coleman (camping company) makes dog toys. So far they've held up to my dogs for about three months.

Kong is great stuff, I'll also throw out Nylabone stuff too, just get it big enough for your dog. If he likes balls, the Jolly balls hold up great. I'd try and stay away from "stuffed" type toys as they can swallow the stuffing and it can play havoc with their digestive tract. Great looking pup, Tim

My Boston Terriers rip Kongs apart. I get them the small ones and somehow they manage to rip the top nub off. After that they last very well though. The most indestructible toy I've found is from West Paw Design made from their Zogoflex material. They've had the Hurley (bone) and the Tux for a few months and haven't dented them yet!

+1 for Kong. My bulldog has destroyed every toy I've ever bought for him other than these three interlocked rings that are made with the same thick tough rubber Kong uses. There's also a thick purple bone-shaped toy I just got him, made of very hard rubber that he can't chew up but he doesn't like it. Basically if your dog has a tough jaw and likes to chew, anything other than very very thick tough rubber will not work.

Another kong vote. My 9 month old pitbull has had her two kong beehive looking things we put food in for a few months. We also get her the really big heavy chewer nylabone. It's like $15 and lasts about 10-14 days, she will chew them constantly, well worth the money.

+1 for the kong and heavy duty nylabone. My dog is a very strong chewer and these two still last forever. Get the med/large kong that sort of looks like half of a football. Fill it with pb for short entertainment or a hard treat for more work. Both ways are good for their teeth.

For a really heavy chewer, a kong won't last more than a few minutes. Even the "black" kongs.

The best we found were nylabones, the big ones. 15-20 bucks will last for months. Problem is that it's kind of a crap shoot whether the dog will like it or not.

Kong lasted 45 second in my house. I took it back and they gave me a refund.

These are the best things that worked for me:

The bone has been great. Just remember that a stuffed toy isn't something you should just leave your dog with as a chew toy. They should be supervised play or tug and not used a pacifier.

Nylabones have been useful as well.

Henrietta Chicken.

First, this is *not* an indestructible toy. I'm sure our male Dobe could dispatch it in seconds. But after over a year, he hasn't. I have no idear why. Maybe it's the fact that the noise comes from the "inhale", after the initial jaw squeeze.

He destroys everything else, but carries her around like a talisman. Go figure.

The bone has been great.
We've had the opposite experience. We have three-year-old Kongs, and the Tuffy ring, the highest rated toy for durability they have, was de-stuffed within a week and a half.

Jelly balls, Cuz, and Nylabones have held up well.

My dogs (boxer & pit) love ripping up stuffed animals.

starts as playing, leads to keep away, then tug-o-war, then the stuffed animals head usually gets ripped off. Then the dogs have fun digging the stuffed cotton out and scattering it all over the floor.
But they enjoy it.

ps- goodwill has stuffed animals for a dollar

I used to get my pup, who was a 90lbs pit and rottie mix, these gigantic hard ass bones that were guaranteed to last about 5 days... they did usually.

they also kept his breath fairly fresh and his teeth clean.

I really miss him...

Don't get the red Kong stuff. It doesn't last nearly as long as the black stuff.

The black Kongs are indestructable.
