Default hybrid sticky!

Can someone in the know please create a sticky with all of the info you have on mixing a 257 block with 205 heads.

It seems like so many people are going this route these days and I have not found a concentrated scource of info.

If this is not possible maybe we can get a a sub forum in built motors just for hybrids.

appreciated either way!

Please include trails, tribulations, should haves/nots, specs, tips, sugestions and any other pertinante info!

Cams while your in their would be well worth it. Thicker head gaskets to lower your compression.

thinner head gasket to raise compression in my opinion...but then again all depends on what you want...

Please don't speak unless you know what your talking about.

I'm using a stock STi HG with my Hybrid swap. (ej25 bottom, ej20 top) with a vf-34. No problems, less than a quarter quart of oil used per 4000 miles, no tick, car starts up first time every time.

The Cams on the other hand, I would say do immediately. It's the ONLY thing I wish I would have done when I had my car in the shop

The reason you can't find anything on that in here is that those are just mixing of stock components --> belongs in the conversions forum. I tried to get them to call it the Hybrid Motor forum, but people were too concerned people would think it too honda-ish.

Please try a search in there.
