No. There aren't any performance modifications that amount to any power. Like anything else you can dump thousands into it and make it faster, but what you would pay and the work it would take would not be worth it.
Just work on handling, you can make them handle fairly inexpensively, and although it may not have the most power, it won't need it.

Im not sure what your road conditions are like over there but here in CA its pretty bad in certain area's. Im only lowered about an 1.2-1.5" or so but I only rubbed on my tires with a full load of people and have yet to scrape. What do you plan to do for your car?

probably bout the same. I was thinking about coilovers but they are so expensive compared to springs.

I also was looking at maybe a eibach pro kit. You guys have any suggestions. My budget would only be like 250 or less right now.

Well to reiterate what's been said at least 200 times on this thread, aftermarket springs will blow your stock struts/shocks fairly soon lol. Your best bet is to save up and get what you really want. I've told numerous people I love my koni inserts and Rce yellow but the spring rate is a little harsh for some people.
From memory the pro-kit comes with springs, swaybars, and endlinks for a relatively cheap price? The sways are good however I believe they are hollow which IMO isn't the greatest.. Also the springs are only really helpful if you get aftermarket struts/shocks. Some people are saying their $550 race land coils are great but who knows lol.

This is only partially true , their are some ppl on here who have had aftermarket springs on stock struts for months even years. I mean eventually you will have to swap struts cus they will go. Bt its not gonna be an immediate thing. It almost depend on the drop u do. If u want springs try em. If u don't like em go back stock. Bt thats only my Dos Centavos.. LOL.

Specifically 08+ Imprezas can not handle even the mildest of drop springs.

No, the pro-kit is just springs. They do make sway bars and other parts, but the Eibach pro-kit is a set of springs.
http://www.amazon.com/Eibach-7714-140-Pro-Kit-Performance-Spring/dp/B000CNBMQQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351568097&sr=8-1&keywords=eibach+pro+kit+wrxThey are only 5% stiffer (if I remember correctly) and can be ran without a problem on stock struts. I don't know about you newer guys but I had them on my 06 2.5i wagon for six months and now have them in my 04 WRX with no problems.
They don't make a huge difference in handling, but it is noticeable. It's also the perfect drop in my opinion, not too low to get into trouble, but you can tell it's dropped.

LOL seriously! and thank you for that addition. The valving in the 08+ impreza's are just pathetic IMO. Sorry for any confusion between years. Apparently previous 07 and below years are okay with lowering springs?

Grant it you have a 07 impreza

I really like them. Since I DD my car all year around and we have nasty winters here, it's pretty much all you can do that can be run all year around.
Later on I will upgrade the struts, but for now they're holding up fine.

And it's funny that Subaru itself will sell you stiffer springs (STI pink springs) and still warranty your struts.

I'll admit I have racelands. I drove 5000 miles on them and for the price they are great they are a little stiff but not bad. It improves the handling a lot over stock but they do become softer over time. I just needed a cheap suspension till next summer when I'm selling the car and picking up a Rex. But that's just my experience
