NH seems to have some of the worst laws for cars. I dropped off my car in Mass to get tint done. I asked for 50% all around and I guess they didn't hear me right...picked it up with 15% all around. Got a deduction off the price and to be honest I am kind of glad it happened. The NH cops give me a hard time but that's the price you pay. Honestly Ben, I would do EL headers (Tomei or maybe KillerBee) tint and then a prova D or GT spec steering wheel.

EL headers and then the steering wheel sounds pretty good. I do think I need to at least hard wire the fuel pump or I'm not going to make any more power.

I got 30% all around and noticed a huge heat difference. I do kinda wish I'd done 20% though

While that does sound like a good idea, it would be very costly to make it worthwhile. If I were going to plunk down the money I would want to step up to a slightly larger turbo. To do so, I would definitely need fuel, and probably want heads too. Then it works out kind of like this:
Twin Scroll Rotated Header/Uppipe: $2,400 Rotated 3" Downpipe: $1,000 Tial 44mm EWG: $400 BW EFR or Other Turbo: $1,800 Fuel System (Surge Tank, Pump(s), Fuel Lines, Rails, FPR, etc): $1,000 Cams: $700 Valves, Headwork, etc: $3,000 And that's a cool $10k Quote:

I was basically just quoting exactly the Full Race prices. Good point on the EFR not needing an EWG. I could sell the one I have too. Too bad they are impossible to find. So I'm down to $9200.

What would your surge tank/rails/lines/etc setup be for $1000? Custom crafted? That's waaaaaay less than my number for my fuel system...just curious as to what you had in mind..

So it's down to a few thousand just for the rotated setup and turbo. It still won't make any more power than I do now unless I spend the money on fuel and likely heads. |

My car is relatively stock and I thoroughly enjoy track time. Your car is insanely quick and probably beastly on a road course. If I had your setup, I would probably designate it as my full time track car and pickup a N/A Suby for daily duty.

I do agree with the others you could just put off going with more power and track it more =D then when you feel that's too slow go bigger ha |

Track time is always a good option. But this is a street car. It spends 99% of it's driven life on the street, so I'm willing to make it more fun in that regard, rather than trying to spend every penny on track days. They're obviously the best for furthering my driving ability, but that doesn't necessarily mean I'll have any more fun than I would be just zipping around town with a big turbo, lol. Thanks! |

I think what you have is the absolute darkest I'd ever go. I think you said it was 30%. Night driving wasn't "bad" but you definitely notice. No way I want 20% or darker now. I'd still like to ride in 50%. Everyone says it's a waste of money but it might be enough for me. |

35% seemed pretty dark to me. I don't think over ever ridden in 50% though. Maybe I could do 50% up front and darker in back. Not sire I like that look though. |
