Default window problems

Has anyone faced the problem with windows yet? my MY02 WRX front side window just malfunctioned. it took me 2 hrs to fix it. Problem was that the bolts that hold the motor ( for the window ) got loosen and in result of that the window went out of track and can't close properly, the window tends to roll up too much so that the door can't be closed. Any suggestion to perminantly fix this problem, please let me know. all I did was just retightened the bolt, but it seems to be shaky still!

Well, since it's under warranty, make the dealer fix it.

you guys really shouldn't touch those, have the dealer fix them...there are sometimes TSB's availble that call for the adjusting of the window that you don't know about.

well, that is what they said, the dealer told me that I need to purchase "window regulator" and it is now back ordered! and the funny part is that my local subaru dealer ask me to go back to my original dealer and ask them to fix it! I guess I will be looking for that 1 800 #s so I can report them for their refused service !
anyways, I took apart my door panel and found some loose bolts, I bolts them back on and it work out ok, a lot of adjustments need to be done since the subaru has really tricky windows, especially the heights.

they refused to work on your car?? that's a bunch of BS....it shouldn't matter WHO you bought the car from. I got stuck on a car like this once and it was a BORN problem car, the dealer sold it and told him to just take it to the dealer closest to where he lives(mine) and i got screwed into working on it. But still refusing to work on your car cause you bought it somewhere else?? What is that all about?? And they said you have to Pay for the regulator?? That's a load of BS if i ever heard it, sorry that's what the 3yr/36K warranty covers.

I wouldn't have left that dealer untill the car was fixed! I don't understand why people let those guys push them around. Go to the manager, if he refuses than call SOA from his office. Stand up to these criminals!
