Default What year STI turbo and intercooler for my 08 WRX?

Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my turbo and intercooler on my 08 WRX to STI units. Does anybody know what year STI turbo and intercooler will fit? Also, I'm looking for an aftermarket header and wondering if I need an 08 specific one or if all years fit. Any help would be good but if you're sure about the fitment that would be great. Thanks

An 06 sti topmount would be a great addition kinda like the one I have in the for sale section...

if you want power to match or even exceed that of a stock sti, the easier way to go is getting the 09 wrx turbo, which is the vf52. the advantage of this is that it directly bolts on to your model and has the same capabilities as an sti turbo. it is also easier to go with an aftermarket tmic like perrin, since that also directly bolts on to your car. if you go with an sti tmic, you're gonna have to change out some other stuff in order for the conversion to work. you should also figure out exactly what your power goals are because you might not even need an aftermarket header.

I thought the 09 turbo was in a slightly different position. But I guess not if thats what you have, right? What else would I need along with the turbo?

howweirdo,
Do you mind posting a mod list because 300whp+/- is pretty much where I would like to be at too?

Any headers made for a 2.5l will fit the 08 - as for the turbo and intercooler, they are similar in style to the '05-'09 LGT, 09+ WRX, and '09+ FXT. Any of the legacy turbos would be a slight upgrade for you, but probably not worth the turbo swap hassle, the '09 WRX is really your only worthwhile "bolt-on" option.

To maximize the the vf52 from the '09WRX, you'll need at least a fuel pump from an '09+wrx or sti. You could also upgrade the injectors, they'll probably be pretty close to maxed out, depending on your other mods. You'll also need some way of tuning the setup, either an accessport or openECU.

BPV and alot of other things! You would need to swap from turbo to intake mani, IIRC.

It is best for you to ask a tuner...

But minimum would be exhast; IC; trubo; fuel pump and, I'm not sure here (again look for a tuner), injectors...

Right now I have a TBE and I'm days away from ordering a Cobb AP. I'll start collecting other parts like a VF52, walbro fuel pump. I'll most likely go FMIC.

What size injectors would be good for these type of mods????

just making sure, but i'm assuming that you're planning on getting a tune right? make sure you talk to your tuner and be on the same page as far as what you're planning on doing. good luck man!
