I've never been to a track before
I want to go up to Bandimere to see what kind of times I can get. What days can I go? How much? What time?

Last night was my first time at Bandimere, or any track for that matter. My times were not impressive (need to work on my launches) but I had a GREAT time. The cost for the Test & Tune series on Wednesday nights is $30.
Here are some links first timers will find useful. Beginners Guide to Drag Racing at Bandimere Speedway Here is a link to Bandimere's website. It has a calendar and a Tech FAQ section that you should read. Bandimere |

I can't represent what this car will do when I'm stock. What time do you guys usually go out? Is this a weekly Wednesday night thing?
<-------not stock for TOO much longer. Last edited by wrxlvr; 06-27-2002 at 12:23 PM. |

I ran twice before I hung out with Harvey and pace in the stands. I had to leave around 7:30 after we watched Jay's 1st run.
I got a reasonable launch on my first run, but my shifting could have been faster. My second run was blown with a boggy launch. Racing is just part of the fun though. I had a great time just watching the wide variety of cars. There was a top fuel dragster in the start lane right behind me. Lots of street cars, (hondas, dsm's, toyotas, etc.) and a good mix of muscle cars and drag bikes. |

If this is your first time ever, my advice having just been in the same situation would be to mentally prepare yourself for a 15.0s pass regardless of what mods you have and what you think your car is capable of. Its all about the driver to begin with. I saw a stock WRX pull a mid-16. 'nuff said. -Pace |

Hey,
I'm planning on running the ride on the 10th. It isn't my first time racing at Bandi, but the first time with an awd and the last time I raced was about 16 years ago! Damn, I'm old! So, it's like the first time all over again. Trying to get Wrxthis to come out. I'm sure we could talk Harvey to come out too. Todd |
