Whats in a name AKA baby names
Buckeye_Kid is having his first child; Buckeye_Kid Jr. Mrs Buckeye_Kid and I can't come up with a name for this 'bundle of joy' (hereafter referred to as BOJ). I want to name the kid something less common, Mrs. Buckeye_Kid is onboard as long as it isn't too radical (see 'Dweezil' or 'Moon Unit' Zappa for more information). I have submitted to you in the form of a poll my unusual naming options. FWIW I'm a typical white guy with mutt European heritage my family forgot about long ago. So is Mrs. Buckeye_Kid.
See above names. Pick one. If you think they suck, please say so. If you think they pwn, please say so. Either way, state why.

You really want to give your kid a name that sounds like a Roman emperor?
Name him Manglor. Or Reiner Wolfcastle. |

Are you planning on making your kids life miserable by having him constantly get beaten at school for his name or never having people be able to spell it?

If you're on the emperor kick - how about "Trajan" -- it's a little less imperious.
I really like Peregrine a lot, but I'd pair it with a more common name. Samuel Peregrine would be nice. Also - for different sounding names - think about gaelic versions of english names: see, Eamon (Edmund). |

Just don't name him Aidan, I swear 2 of 3 new parents I meet have named their son Aidan. No offense to any OT children named Aidan, it's just so overdone today.

Buckeye_Kid gets the feeling that if Buckeye_Kid's name was Julius Augustus (Buckeye_Kid's last name) OT would have already beaten him up and stolen his lunch money. Last edited by Buckeye Kid; 02-09-2007 at 02:55 PM. Reason: 'beaten' doesn't have an 'h' in it |
