Default Arsenal 09/2010 Thread!

Because I know there are a lot of you who love arsenal as much as I do here is our thread.

Arsenal Match 1
Arsenal 6 Everton 1 (yeah we'll take that)

Arsenal absolutely annihilated these poofs today!

dang i bet half the "man u fans" couldnt even name 5 players on the team. I like Man U but they are the biggest name train you can jump on in the states these days. I can't recall their last undefeated season? can anyone else?

anyways Arsenal crushed Everton today.

Where is a good place to sit for a first timer at Rio Tinto stadium?
I'm thinking about going to the world cup qualifier.

rio tinto is small enough that anywhere in lower bowl is good. the kfc tickets are actually not bad either. try a side rather than the ends though. either way you will have fun!

arsenal got lucky today for sure. My hoops made mistakes that cost them.... although it would have been nice if the handball in the box on arsenal would have been called. Great game though... wish celtic would have won. still 90 minutes more to go though.

Arsenal always does better because they have an outrageous ammount of money.... It's always the same teams in the finals, barca, Chelsea, arsenal, man u, ac Milan, juve, inter,.... It's always those teams because they have ridiculous payrolls. It's like the Yankees versus the royals.

arsenal dont have nearly the budget most teams do actually. if how good a team is based on that then man city should be the best team on earth. celtic is a good team, but it comes down to management and coaches imo. Most Premier League teams have money, but really that doesn't decide it. Arsenal usually has the youngest squads and creates their teams. Look at Fabregas for example. If you look into Arsenal's history, their success has not been based on big money backing, though those teams do exist I agree.

youre joking right? arsenal in 2007 (i couldnt find anything more recent) was 5th in europe in revenue... behind Real Madrid, Man U, Barca, and Chelsea.

City didnt spend nearly as much as Real Madrid did this summer.

Celtic's big transfer this summer was something like 4 million pounds... arsenal wouldnt even bat an eye at such a transfer fee.

Also, City was not even being discussed in the top 4 until they went out and spent money.... it just shows that to get into the upper tier in the EPL, you just have to spend money... getting to the elite status in the EPL and winning trophies though is more difficult.
