Default who is on the waiting list in Atlanta

I am #6 on the list at gwinnett. I think it would be a benefit to us all if we kept in contact. Make sure we all are getting the same deal etc and they don't try to play games. Don't think they will but you never know

That is supposed to say non refundable. I am working with someone that came to me besides me going to him which is what I admire. Its in Illinois they are paying for a bus ticket to pick it up. Ill go to great lengths to get a deal. And the ATl dealer said they would force me to pay 4000 markup so i just said hell no and left.

They blew me off. 1000 or 1500 down, no refund, then they would tell me what I would pay when it came in (MSRP, MSRP+, who knows). The manager was new, just starting so he said and his attituded sux. For a car he will have no problem getting rid of if someone changes their mind. I talked to them about a WRX and bought elswhere last summer. When I came back, the management had changed but the attitude seemed to be worse. And they had a whole bunch of inventory sitting on their lot which was obviously not moving....

Anyway good luck with EV...

Default #3 at Royal

I'm #3 at Royal in Decatur. $1000 refundable deposit and they wrote on the order form the car is to be sold at MSRP.

We even took a few minutes to swap rumors.

Well I'll be 19 turning 20 when I get mine. I am saving just about 1/3 of the total cost of the car for the downpayment.

I'm older than both you guys. I'm gonna hang back and see how the aftermarket takes to the throttle by wire and if there are any other issues.

I bought a 98 M3 in 98 and was considering getting the next version (I get confused about the E-numbers). The 98 had 245 HP and the new one had around 335.. 345. But the first batch to hit the US had problems with the motor. Almost no bearing clearance or something and the first 40 or 50 people that had their motor blow got all kinds of hassles from BMW until BMW-USA recognized the problem and started replacing motors at no charge.

I prefer to let others get out there on the bleeding edge. I can wait and don't have the blood to spare..

As far as my experience with the dealers here in Atlanta. As I mentioned Gwinnett seemed to be the fairest. They were pretty straight forward and it was an easy deal. I however, would never go to troncolli since I had such a poor experience with them. They are alot closer to me too. They tried to dick me around and make me pay a non refundable deposit as well as acted about as snobby as you could towards me the customer. Sales manager basically told me to pay it or go somewhere else. Well I did go somewhere else lol. And they lost some money.

Funny how things change. When they were at their old location near ASL (back when Lisa also worked in the parts dept.), I had the best experience with service and sales. I got my wrx in Oct 2001 and I had never had a better experience buying a car. I walked in and asked how much for the wrx, they quoted 300 over invoice. (NO negotiations or bs'ing for brand new with under 8miles on odo). I asked how much for my trade-in and without even driving it or running the vin, they quoted me $3000 more than I had gotten from many other places.

Too bad that things aren't the same in their new location. I'm wondering if the whole sales dept. changed...

Anyhow, I've only heard great things about Gwinnett. If things don't work out with Van Bortel, I might switch over to Gwinnett.

Yes things definetly change. I was pretty ticked at the sales manager there. I mean he even argued with me about how many cars were coming and what came with the sti and what didnt.

I am very pleased with my experiences so far at Gwinett.

I was ready to put down a deposit last December and polled all the dealers in Atl. I was told there was either a non refuldable deposit or the dealer was not taking deposits. So I went out of town. I did talk to Brad Miller later and wished that I was able to have met with him prior to making my depsit. I agree with the sentiments above that he is a good guy and would have given him my business if circumstances had been better. If I were oging now it would definately be to Gwinnett.
