Yea, screw up on my part.

Car has 156,000 on the body, 15,000 on the engine.

So did you drop a new engine in it 15k miles ago or did you just do the HG?

No, there is nothing "new" about the engine, we just freshened the heads, replaced every gasket in the engine itself, and put it back in.

Do you have the date of manufacture ?

My understanding is that sometime AFTER April of 1999 Subaru of America ran out of EJ25 Phase I DOHC engine blocks and started building a hi-bred EJ25 with Phase II EJ25 engine blocks and Phase I DOHC heads. While the Head gasket issues remain, these rare hi-bred motors are near bullet proof.

While I'm sure the car is in great shape and I would buy it feeling confident I wouldn't have to replace the HG before the rest of the car falls apart, I'm not sure I would advertise the engine as only having 15k miles on it. I'm not trying to be a d*ck I just feel that part of you ad needs clarification.

Good luck with the sale, it's a killer price.
