Yep, I tune these on a regular basis now. The tuning and parts solutions are somewhat formulaic now and i can predict within 15 hp how much a GTR will make.... from 500 to 600 whp has become the norm.

My own GTR makes 580 whp on E85. I run R-compound tires daily as a matter of safety..... and it will still just rip them loose in 1st and second gear.

Tim Bailey

Yeah, that's awesome. That is crazy streetable power. Rather surprised how much spool you lose for a 100 horse, but then again, who cares? Full spool by 4k with 603whp? Yes please!

The 603whp GT-R has upgraded turbos. They were upgraded and installed by a previous tuner early in the GT-R modding/tuning game and appear to be a bit underwhelming by today's standards. They are definitely an nice upgrade but some pretty amazing results are possible on high octane with the stock turbos. Here is a "maxed out" stock turbo car on E85 vs. that GT-R with upgraded turbos on 92 oct:

On the same fuel (92 octane), the upgraded turbos do stretch their legs a bit:

These cars are silly

Thanks Tim and crew!

Car is running great. Took a drive up to Seattle for work tonight. It is too easy to keep speed now and had to resist the urge to surge.

I shoulda done this sooner

I do love that the upgraded turbos are considered dated. When did the GT-R come out again? That is some crazy fast R&D! Regardless, continually seeing graphs like this further makes the GT-R my dream car. That sort of DD reliability with just massive power is phenomenal.
