what do you think of my idea to promote fitness? *opinions needed*
i thought of a fitness promotion program at my base and im thinking of calling it "Gym Rat of the Month" <-cheesy name but if you have something more clever by all means i'd like to hear it
people who participate in the program will sign in everytime they visit the gym and it will be tallied up monthly. The most frequent visitor will have a cool/silly picture of themself posted on the wall. Here's how the winners are categorized... enlisted (e1-e4) senior enlisted (e5-e9) officers (o1+above) and commanders (any commander on base) quarterly, one overall winner will be selected and get a pretty cool prize like a ipod or gift certificate to sporting good store etc... reason behind this: we have alot of incentive programs where people log the miles they run, laps they swim, or miles they bike and get prizes when they reach a certain # but those are for like hardcore fitness people. im hoping this program will encourage people to get off their butt and get in the gym, as long as you're incorporating fitness into your lifestyle CN: most frequent visitor gets picture posted on the wall like employee of the month .. whadduyah think?

If it's the military, can't someone just ORDER them to to go to the gym and workout? How's that for motivation!

I wouldn't want my picture on the wall. Other than that not a terrible idea.

Sounds good.
Better still might be a program that encourages the fat, slothful, wastes of skin to get to the gym, rather than those who already go. |
