Anyone know if there's some sort of policy for living in the barracks at Lewis being an nco? Cuz in some posts if you're an NCO they give you BAH to live off post. Is Lewis like that or would it be some sort of commander discretion FSBP thing?

My understanding is once you are a E-6 you start BAH unless you choose to live in the senior NCO barracks or apartments. There is always a commanders exception though it usually depends on the unit etc.

Many people are on leave. So I don't see it happening honestly.

I'm actually my unit's barracks NCO, so to answer your question....
E6 and above, you get BAH.
E5 and below, you live in the barracks.

Exceptions to this (where you get BAH):
1. Single and you have a dependent full time, or if it is a kid, joint custody.
2. Married, and spouse is civilian (spouse does not have to be here as well, but your orders must say accompanied).
3. Married, and spouse is military, but stationed elsewhere. (possible to get some BAH, but not full)

Fort Lewis policy is that until POST WIDE barracks capacity is 95%, no single, un-married E5 will be given BAH. As it stands right now, post wide is barely hitting 58% capacity. (it also includes north fort and now includes McChord, the entire JBLM facility). So even if your unit's barracks are full up, they will have to put you in another unit's barracks. Hell, one of my two buildings I manage is filled with 6 different units worth of people.

So if you're like me, an unmarried E5 with no kids, welcome to life in the slave quarters... er, Barracks.

Thanks. Living in the barracks blows as an NCO.

Anyone here running a 18g xt turbo on e85? Or something similar? If so can you tell me what your fuel set up is like? Type of pump, injectors? Etc.. I currently have a wallbro 255 fp right now and I was wondering if that would suffice, and I plan on running ID1000cc injectors. Do I need to upgrade anything else like a regulator or rails to convert to e85? And PIA seems to be the place to go to besides surgeline. Would y'all agree? And of course I will go to a tuner there and find out just trying to see other set ups and an idea on what I would need. thanks!

I drive by there a few times a week in an 06 OBP WRX, but I don't have a "dangly thing" hanging off the rear of my car (that I'm aware of at least). I've seen your cars parked out there. I don't go to the meets either since I'm on North Fort the majority of the time.

I'm pretty sure the black WRX you're describing belongs to Mike Garcia. He works at one of the Stryker Brigades. He comes around every once in a while, or used to. I've been gone 5 months, so what the hell do I know.
